Farming Simulator 25 includes ground deformation, dynamic weather systems, and construction mechanics alongside a large selection of licensed machinery. Fields, pastures, forests, and production sites operate within a connected economy where resources move among activities. It tracks crop growth, animal populations, equipment usage, and business output while incorporating environmental conditions such as hail, twisters, fog, and changing seasonal patterns influencing farm operations.

Farming Simulator 25’s three distinct regions present different agricultural layouts, vegetation, and infrastructure. North American landscapes feature grain elevators and river systems; Central European maps include ponds and traditional farmland; while East Asian environments feature rice paddies and dense urban-adjacent scenery. Construction projects allow the placement of farm structures, production facilities, retail locations, and custom rice paddies that become part of the operational network.

Crop management expands through rice farming, spinach, peas, green beans, greenhouse vegetables, and multiple forestry options. Rice cultivation requires water-retaining paddies that can be created on owned land through the construction system. Livestock systems include buffalo, goats, cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens, and horses, as well as baby animals. Crop and animal production function within the same economy, linking harvested goods and livestock products to storage, processing, and distribution activities.

Vehicle operations center on more than 400 machines and tools from over 150 agricultural manufacturers. GPS-assisted steering guides fieldwork through automated route handling, while updated automation systems manage selected machine functions during farming tasks. Weather hazards such as hail and twisters affect field conditions and crop output. These events can be enabled or disabled in settings, while in-game interaction focuses on preparation and recovery rather than direct control of weather systems.
