Version: BootIt Next Generation 1.75a
"Excellent piece of software."
Pros: Convenient interface, comprehensive range of features: creating copies and images of partitions, restoring images to a partition of user's choice, possibility to control the MBR partition table.
Invaluable for a QA engineer who needs to be able to boot multiple operating systems and frequently restore fresh OS installations.
Cons: It would be nice to be able to directly overwrite existing partitions with e.g. their backup copies.
When restoring an image over an existing partition, having to type in a new partition name every time (even if one wants it to stay the same) seems to be an unnecessary complication.
