"Does what it says really well!"

January 25, 2005

 |  Version: BootIt Next Generation 1.42

Summary

Product worked as soon as it installed and did everything that it said it would - and really well. I HIGHLY recommend it. The only shortcoming is the manual; knowing a bit about computers is a prereq for it. But the PRODUCT itself seems wonderful!

"Best boot manager by far."

This is the best Boot manager that I have used. I love all the little addons that you can get for it, too.

"Great for partition management"

January 13, 2005

 |  Version: BootIt Next Generation 1.42

Summary

For what I needed, I could have completed within the shareware time period, which was extending my partition that I'd copied directly from another drive to consume the whole drive space. The tool worked so well, I had to go ahead and buy it so I knew I could use it again in the future.

"Great product for multi boot"

January 06, 2005

 |  Version: BootIt Next Generation 1.42

Summary

I highly recomend this program. I have used it on many machines now with few issues. Documentation is a bit light and the knowledgebase was okay. I read some of these reviews and I think some people should be fired if they mess up using this program as it is pretty easy if you can read the documention.

"Excellent Tool"

December 21, 2004

 |  Version: BootIt Next Generation 1.42

Summary

I am not a newbie nor a power user but as far as one READS the full manual of BootIt NG, nothing can go wrong, even the hide/unhide function of created partitions. It works fine, very securely and effective on managing partitions. Along with the other software from TerabyteUnlimited, it makes a perfect team for all the Imaging/Partitioning of hard drives. Best bang for the buck

"Created and Copied Several Partitions, Recommeded!"

November 07, 2004

 |  Version: BootIt Next Generation 1.42

Summary

I was able to ghost several partitions from one drive to another...some ntfs, some fat. I also did some resizing and partition manageing. I did all of this using the trial version. It is an excellent program.

THE MAIN reason that I am commenting is I want to make everybody aware of 1 problem. I copied (ghosted) my initial boot partition, set the drive active in fdisk, and xp booted fine. Then I went back in the software and copied other partitions that I had in the free space. NONE of the additional partitions (primary, extended, or logical) showed up in xp. I have spent a few hours trying to figure out what the problem was. I then tried to create the partitions first in xp and copy them through Norton Ghost. They STILL disappeared when I restarted the computer and showed as unallocated space, even though BootIt will always see the partitions. Well the problem is BootIt. All you have to do is uninstall BootIt after you copy your additional partitions and they show up fine in XP. It took me a few hours to figure this out, b/c I didn't think it was BootIt b/c even when I was create the partitions through Fdisk or Windows they would still disappear. But anyway, it is BootIt and you just have to UNDO the EMBR and delete the partition that BootIt is on and it shows up fine.

Regardless of this the program is VERY GOOD, and I was impressed with everything that I could do...especially ghost with a trial version. Now I plan on purchasing.

"Worked a small miracle"

November 03, 2004

 |  Version: BootIt Next Generation 1.42

Summary

I was using Partition Magic, until it gave me error messages saying that my partition tables were corrupted, and I should format my hard drive and reinstall everything.

As soon as I installed BootIT NG, it remade the partition tables. Now even Partition Magic will run on my machine.

This software performs the three functions of partition manipulation, imaging and giving the option of booting to one of several OS's. It costs less than the competing software to do any one of those jobs.

"Hash after hard disk copy"

October 19, 2004

 |  Version: BootIt Next Generation 1.42

Summary

I spent a lot of time to copy a hard disk image to a new hard disk.
A lot of tools under Windows and Unix failed. One Arcronis Trueimage finally did the job BUT the windows xp installation mourned about "Can not verify activation cond 0x80090006". After googling I have got the tip trying to reset a hash on the hard disk partition table using BootItNg. It worked, that is the reason I bought it now and put it in my System Administrator Toolbox.

Thank you very much and keep on developing!

Regards Ronald

"Literally a life saver!!!!!"

September 11, 2004

 |  Version: BootIt Next Generation 1.42

Summary

I used Acronis True Image to restore a partition on one of my drives. When I finished, Windows didn't see any of the other partitions on that drive, (one of which contained my last year's work) or any of the partitions on one of my other drives, (one of which had the backup of all those files I'd been working on)!!! I was f***ed!!! Enter BootItNG. Using BootItNG's partion work utility I was able to recover all my files!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know of any other utility that could have done that. I've tried them all and only BootItNG works first time, last time, and every time in between. Thank you Terabyte!
