Watch your home, cars, valuables, nanny, babysitter, and family. Use up to 16 cameras, Web cams, IP cameras, BT878 cards, or DV camcorders. Use motion detection, audio detection, or capture continuously. Overlay text and graphics. Use the built-in Web server, or FTP to a Web site. Receive alerts via loudspeaker, e-mail, instant messaging, or phone. Webcast using JAVA, MPEG, or Windows Media Technologies. Digital Pan and Zoom. Run as a Win32 service.

Version 1.59 has UI to monitor/configure Blue Iris when it runs as a service. Many more IP cameras supported.
