Publisher's description of BizTalk Accelerator for HIPAA Very Large File Handling
From Microsoft:Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for HIPAA 2.0 extends the base capabilities of BizTalk Server 2002 to support building HIPAA compliance solutions. Because the accelerator relies on the base BizTalk Server platform, it inherits some limitations regarding very large HIPAA documents. In some cases, users may be accustomed to sending large batches of documents in a single file. If these files are of significant size, there may be issues in handling them using the traditional means within BizTalk Server. Since they are typically parsed from an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) flat file into XML and subsequently loaded into the Document Object Model (DOM), memory can be exhausted due to these very large files.
A typical customer scenario may include an X12 834 file that is over 100 megabytes (MB) in size. Using the out-of-the-box BizTalk Accelerator for HIPAA in this scenario may not provide optimal performance, or in some cases not work at all. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.
