Pros
I had to uninstall Kaspersky because it slowed my PC to a snail's pace. BitDefender doesn't seem to have slowed it at all.
BitDefender certainly finds viruses that many of the others miss!Cons
The program is stopping me from installing a program right now and I don't know how to over-ride it, which is why I came here.

Everything you need in this one cause it works. It's not norton or mcafee that are
a virus themselves. Although Avira was equivalent and free. I tried them all. trust me.

Although it looked good enough it slowed my system too much & I decided to uninstall it. WHAT? Uninstalling seems to be something that it's creators don't like very much so It won't uninstall no matter what. The only solution is to disable it but it still remains in the system.

I bought this product, because one tech site said it was number 1 in everything.
What a pos!
It WILL slow down your computer to a stand still and take over the CPU function 99% and there is NOTHING you can do while it scans all your hard drive. It happens every single time you boot up. There is no way around this ... but to uninstall it and buy PC Cillin that I found the best program.
Bit defender can't even defend against router intrusions, or hijack your WIFI signal and attack the firewall. These are really simple functions that PC Cillin had for years. It's way too long to list all the things it will not do and how it miss most of the virus, adware, spam or dangerous sites you're visiting. It gives no warnings as PC Cillin does.
When I try to uninstall it, it would abort in the middle and next time it boots up, regardless that I have disabled it. Try to uninstall again and it refused!
Then I manually deleted everything has to do with this program... over an hour to find them. The next boot, it was back and tied up my CPU 99% that I could not even stop it. I found more files but I could not delete or uninstall this program. It was a real nightmare that I have never encountered. Finally the company told me to download an uninstall program from their site and I was able to get rid of this HORRIBLE software I have ever seen.
I have tried most anti virus programs and keep coming back to PC Cilin for many years. While using that program, I have NEVER got any virus or intrusions to my system. The problem with PC Cillin (Trend Micro company) is that they have an idiotic transaction page and company (Payment to digital river) that don't work. Besides, you can buy that much cheaper at : cheapsoftware....com through Amazon.....com
So, why pay more.
I can not give a ZERO rating... so it's one star.

It works a little too well.. tells you where you can go ,doesnt play well with zone alarm either..they fightt and cause blue screens and well even zone alarm im doubting right now..not sure of it..it works and works too well.It sure keeps you out of harms way its just keeps you off the net most of the time..

Dont like software that hides in the background when its suppose to be off and keeps you from getting online..clashes with alot of things..OH it works but I bought the version from the company and it well ..has me over a barrel..NOT>>i decided to go with something else and reformat..oh thats another thing.It doesnt like to be uninstalled and can cause some serious issues but this is just my opinion..I would definitely put it at thumbs down but dont know how to get out of this thing without it letting you not put a star there..!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I installed this program it crashed my computer, couldn't even uninstall or install any other programs. If you want to uninstall you have to go to the bitdefender page if it even lets you get online.
