A pair of executables presented with little explanation and giving little satisfaction is what you'll find in these command-line tools. This demoware includes five files including two command line driven applications.
We'll start with mar.exe and its source code companion, mar.cpp. Right off the bat you'll notice the complete lack of program documentation. The publisher describes the program as a compression/decompression tool. Our testers couldn't get the executable to perform. With no instructions or help files available, most users will eventually give up testing the application.
On the other hand, the included executable 79921.exe works. The problem is its very specific function. It will only encrypt a file named cin.txt using a file called password.txt as the encryption key. Running 79921.exe with those two files in the same directory will quickly create two new files. One file is encrypted, and the other purports to be a decrypted version of the first file. In other words, there is a lot of work to return your original cin.txt file.
The vast majority of users will find nothing useful in Binary Compression. We suggest you give this confusing little tool a pass.
