This free toolbar does nothing more than provide links to popular sites--and it really doesn't do that well. BigSite Toolbar sits in Internet Explorer with your other toolbars and offers buttons that link to some well-known spots on the Web. You'll find Google search right on the bar as well as links to eBay, Dell, Office Depot, and Wal-Mart. Ineptly, each link first directs you to a BigSite page with another link to the site you requested. BigSite Toolbar has several additional options for performing virus, privacy, and spyware scans, PC optimization, and Web-content scanning, none of which are actually a part of this software, and some of which initiate an error, then immediately shut down your browser. The best thing about this pointless download isn't that it's free, but rather that it uninstalls with little hassle.

The BigSite toolbar offers metasearches and Google access as a start. Tools on this browser addon range from checking for Spyware all the way to making sure your browser has the right media installed to experience the web in full. Quick access to home pages like Ebay and Dell make searching obsolete in some cases. Also, check out occasional new freebies we add to the toolbar and update on a regular basis. Version 1.2 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
