This utility effectively chops up large files into manageable segments, but lacks several features commonly found in other file splitters. BigFileSplit's utilitarian interface is no beauty, but the few basic navigation buttons shouldn't present problems for even the most novice user. Unfortunately, BigFileSplit is short on options as well as looks. It doesn't include any preset sizes, and only allows you to split files into megabytes. You can't specify a destination folder for the split files, and there's no option to create self-uniting batch files. As soon as you select a file, the splitting process begins, but it wasn't as fast as we expect for a product geared toward oversized graphics and media files. Although BigFileSplit lives up to its claim and effectively handles those mega files, be ready to face its shortcomings.Publisher's description
