BiBirmir's Toolbar for Internet Explorer offers the most common browser tools in an unobtrusive bar, which is just what most web surfers would prefer to yet another screen element that will take up even more of the browser pane. The toolbar is customizable, and among its tools are a BiBirmir-branded search engine (powered by Ask) that also lists a visited page's Google rank, a localized weather update, and shopping buttons (one for computers and accessories, a second for electronics, and a third for other categories including books, home and garden, and health and beauty). A particular favorite is the e-mail button, which you define with up to six accounts, and which alerts you to the number of new messages in each; you can access each by selecting from a dropdown menu--the account opens quickly, without your entering account information. The only drawback we see is the limitation to one browser. There are other browser toolbars with more bells and whistles, and that work with more than one browser, but this toolbar's choice of tools and ease of use make it perfect for the majority of Internet Explorer users.
