Manage updates with the Download AppCNET Editors' review
This IE add-on is supposed to aid parents in locating their child's personal profile on various social networking Web sites, but it comes up short in many areas.
BeNetSafe Search Toolbar places a nondescript toolbar atop your IE window. The program goes to work after you enter a first and last name. However, the program took considerable time to come up with results--and those results were disappointing. Despite numerous attempts, we never got exact matches and only the name and location were displayed. On other occasions, the program came up empty-handed.
Also adding to our woes, it only checked three sites--Friendster, MySpace, and Xanga--and we couldn't find an option to add more sites. Though BeNetSafe Search Toolbar's intentions are good, parents are better off looking elsewhere for an effective profile-search tool.

Pros
It is very fast to download and is very easy to use. I found both of my children on MySpace when both told me their profiles were deleted.
