Version: Battlefield 1942 Desert Combat Final mod
"Very good! a must-have for Battlefield gamers!"
Pros: Acvtion-packed with tons of fun! I liked the realism from the m1A1 tanks to the Apache helicopters!
Cons: Slow-loading with the maps, but not too bad

Version: Battlefield 1942 Desert Combat Final mod
Pros: Anyone that plays BFV or BF1942 will definately appreciate Desert Combat. The DC mod has been tons of fun for me, as I play online with friends every wednesday and friday night. Gameplay is fast and the character details are very good. The controls are comparable to BFV and the other popular interfaces. I highly recommend a system running an ATI 9600 or better video card, 1 gigabyte of DDR memory and at least 2 Ghz cpu for minimal best gameplay. Oh! DSL connection will work good, but Cable modem is smokin!
Cons: Oddly enough, with all the excellent detail on terrain, personnel and certain equipment, I found the cockpits devoid of functional instrumentation. For example an artificial horizon would be really nice so you can tell pitch, yaw, roll etc... Also the inability to shoot through walls and floors, especially with big caliber weapons like 120mm tank gun! One other aspect not appreciated was missles whether aircraft launched or shoulder fired do not seek or lock on and follow the target, rather they fly a straight line and then pop in a black cloud, requiring you to expose yourself for long periods of time to get a good shot off that hits the target.
