Using profiles to define where and how to back up files isn't a new idea, but Backup-2006 Studio jazzes up the concept with innovative and useful features. The Backup Set Map feature, for instance, provides a graphical representation of backup profiles and their destination folders. You can use the map to modify backup sets and quickly change the target locations for multiple profiles. The program comes with predefined backup sets for Outlook as well as for Windows settings and the Registry, and you can create a new set from existing ones. The interface is nothing special, but we like how you can run the program in Beginner, Standard, or Expert mode, queue up tasks, and search a catalog database for details of each backup job. The program offers encryption and three compression methods for saving data to FTP locations or CD and DVD burners. Overall, Backup-2006 Studio's strong functionality ought to make it attractive to business and power users.Publisher's description

It can backup any folder to any destination (network drive, USB external disk..) It comes with its own DVD burner diver. You can schedule backup, synchronization, disk image or partition replication. Backup-2006 Studio can upload archive file to FTP, FTPS, HTTP servers. It offers multiple restoring options and different views.
Version 5.1.3.209 is a maintenance release. The ZIP engine and data-navigation library have been updated.

Pros: I were attacked many times by virus and i had to ghost my computer. That means losing all data. But now i don't worry about it any more. Tks.

"Nice Idea but doesn't work for me"
Pros: The fact that it puts files into a zip file that I can open with winzip
Cons: It locks up and my computer just doesn't like the software longer than a week or two. Have to reinstall all the time and the code I rec'd sometimes quit working.
