This free browser add-on is essentially a search engine for a nostalgic TV cartoon site's inventory, but you'll have to pay to access the cartoons themselves.
Launching the Back In The Day browser add-on opens a lackluster Web page with a single field for entering a title or search phrase, cluttered with a number of text ads. The two decades represented-- the 80s and 90s--aren't necessarily known by animation aficionados as a golden age, but there were some popular series during the period. Therefore, we were disappointed that a Back In The Day search for two hot Saturday morning shows--"Scooby Doo" and "He-Man"--turned up nothing. On the other hand, an obscure title like "Pink Panther and Sons" was available, but the site requires a subscription fee for accessing its goodies.
The add-on works fine, but overall the usefulness is limited; for some users, it may even be disappointing. We can't recommend this one, unless you're looking for something obscure from the two decades.
Back In The Day Toolbar enhances Internet Explorer with a search-box for cartoons and other useful tools like Web form-filler, links to some cartoon DVDs, VHS Tapes, info, pictures and more. With the new Back In The Day Toolbar, you can customize the toolbar and it automatically updates. All of your 80's and 90's cartoon needs are just seconds away with the Back In The Day Toolbar. Back In The Day Toolbar is spyware and adware free, it is also free to download and installs in seconds.
