Avvenu is a free service that allows you to remotely access the photos and files on your computer. You can access your content from any Web-connected computer, PDA, or cell phone. You can also search your remote computer to find the files you need. And you can securely share content from your computer with friends and family without having to upload any files. Your recipients do not even need to be a member of the Avvenu service in order to view what you've shared with them. They just click on a link in an e-mail and immediately see what you have shared with them. There are no limits on the size of images or files that can be shared. Version 1.2.19 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: Avvenu 1.2.19

"Works well but could do with improved performace"

Pros: It worked as stated, and was very easy to install and run.
End user only requires an internet browser to access files.

Cons: There is no log of who or what has been accessed on the remote machine.
The online browser is limited to viewing ~15 files/folders at a time, this makes browsing a large number of flies very tiresome. Coupled with the lack of a search feature...its a very long process to get to the 2000 th file/folder.
But if you dont have many files to share and plan on using a pda alot, then this is the program for you.
