"The Best...except a few flaws"

Pros
Detection rate, scan speed, reliability and low RAM usage. These all antivir's strong points.
Cons
Email guard could be better. And it reduces my download speed significantly when webguard is enable.
Summary
I like this product very much, but turning on and off the guard while downloading annoys me a little.

Pros
I finally got tired of the annoying pops from McAfee and decided to try something else. After researching online, I decided to give Avira a try. After 3 months, I find that it's easy to use, effective and, not nearly as annoying as McAfee.
Cons
It takes a long time to update, but maybe that's just because it's thorough.
Summary
Better than McAfee, by a long shot.

I was having issues and tried 6 antivirus scanners with varying results. I tried this for a week and it solved a lot of problems. I decided to go premium. It has worked great so far.
Cons
I haven't as yet found a way to schedule scans, I have been needing to remember to start them. The company is in Europe, so my bank charged me a surcharge on my credit card (intl fee) when I placed an order for a 1 year subscription.
Summary
I have only had this program 2 1/2 weeks and except those few things in German it has done every thing I have asked it to do. The only complaint I have so far is that I like to schedule scans for every other day and I haven't figured a way to do that.
