Often, basic templates available in office suite software don't meet the needs of professionals. Avery Design Pro for Mac purports to solve this problem and allow use of its templates, but it isn't recognized or supported for newer versions of Mac OS X.
Available as freeware, Avery DesignPro has no features requiring upgrades or payment to a full version. The file is a sizable download for a freeware program. However, installation failed despite multiple attempts to redownload Avery Design Pro for Mac. The version of Mac OS X used for testing failed to even recognize the program's image to begin installing. Support also appears to be nonexistent and there is no way to obtain additional assistance with these technical issues. The program may work on early versions of the Mac OS, but not with any newer version. This lack of updates and support is unacceptable, even for freeware.
While claiming to allow use of more effective business document templates, Avery DesignPro for Mac fails to work on later versions of Mac OS X, so users should look elsewhere.

Difficult to figure out how to use. Cannot figure out a way to only print a few name tag labels when I don't need a whole page.
Summary
I just want to tear my hair out when trying to use this program. Why do they make it so darn difficult? It should be so easy.

This did work to print labels up until Snow Leopard, but was a real pain to use and quite quirky. I wish I could award zero stars.

Not supported at all in Lion and Mountain Lion. Dead software. C'mon, Avery, you're a big company. Get out of the last decade and update it!

Summary
Admit have not given real in depth try as lost interest almost immediately and went back to illustrator and useful downlowdable grids for Avery labels. It was quite a challenge to even down load using Mac OS 10.6.7

There is nothing good about this product.
Cons
I tried for several hours, with the help of friends who are good at this sort of thing, to create a business card using the templates provided. It is IMPOSSIBLE. The most user-unfriendly product I have seen in a long time.
Summary
I am going to Staples and have them print my cards. NEVER using this product again.

This has a good interface, and is fairly intuitive to use, but I could not find a way to scale, move and position background images. I had to go into another package and scale and move the composition where I wanted it before bringing it into the program. It is nice to have the entire Avery suite of labels in this package.
