It doesn't unpack your luggage, but this utility greatly simplifies expanding many popular archive types. From the utilitarian interface to the minimal options, AutoUnpack is designed for getting a specific job quickly accomplished. Many archive unpackers require a few steps to expand a RAR or ZIP file, but AutoUnpack does the job in a single step. You merely point to a folder containing your ZIP or RAR files and choose an output directory. Press one button to start a process that ends with your archive perfectly unpacked, or let the program automatically unpack that directory every set number of minutes. You can make downloads fall into your unpack directory; AutoUnpack remembers what it has unpacked and operates only on new archives.
Our favorite feature has to be AutoUnpack:NZB. You set an e-mail address for this application to monitor, and whenever it finds an e-mail with the proper subject and coding, it searches Usenet for the requested file. AutoUnpack downloads all the file pieces, properly combines them, then decodes them. Unfortunately, creating the correct NZB coding must be handled with another program. Some users may be disappointed with the default settings, but it takes only a couple of minutes to make easy changes to all settings. Any Usenet fan, or RAR user, will find this freeware unpacker immensely useful.

Version: AutoUnpack 4.4.4
Pros: Don't know since I hate when a program does what this one does - See CONS
Cons: Why does this program need to auto-load each and everytime the o.s. is loaded? That is a lame thing to do even if it is a freebie. I deleted it asap when I found this out...

Version: AutoUnpack 4.4.4
"Good for mass unpacking, not so great for individual files"
Pros: - It works great for unpacking several archives at once.
- It neatly places all unpacked files in (sub)folders, in the designated 'unpack' folder. - It works fast.
- It's free...
Cons: - You can't look into specific archives like you can with WinZip or PowerArchiver etc.
- It's not so great in repairing corrupted archives. It did nothing with a damaged zip file, whilst other apps where able to open and extract at least some of the content.
