CNET Editors' review
Join your hard drive fragments together into a tight bunch with this freeware. Auslogics Disk Defrag's interface couldn't be any cleaner or easier to use.
Choose a hard drive from an easy-to-read pull-down menu, and Disk Defrag instantly displays the drive's size, and used and free space. The program even displays a pie graph for visual learners. One click starts the defragmentation process. The program's defrag process screen displays another handy visual. A sector map makes it easy to see how much of the drive is fragmented, allocated, or free. As the program churns away, the defragged sectors are displayed in blue.
We found the program fast, even on older XP systems. A handy HTML report is prepared after each defrag session. A summary displays the total files and folders defragged, while the detail section lists the defrag outcome for each file. We only wish a final sector map was included in the report. Novices to system administrators will love this easy-to-use hard drive defrag program.

"Best free Disk Defrag I've used to date."
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 3.3.0.2
Pros
Everything about this program is great.
Only defrag program I would actually buy if they made it a pay for program.
So much better than stock windows defrag programs, they are not even on the radar.Cons
None. This program is excellent.
Summary
Excellent free program. You can't beat Auslogics.
-

-
"Very Good Disk Defragmenter."
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 3.3.0.2
Pros
Can speed up the system by putting the data on the disk during the early part of optimization. And can schedule defragmentation properly.
Cons
There is a bug in this version, which is when clicking on the frame like a magnifying glass on top right corner of the map block partition. and makes me uncomfortable.
Summary
So, please fix the bug is to make this product better.

"Greatly improved"
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 3.3.0.2
Pros
Fast defrag and optimize
Cons
Color coding on map could be better identified and explained. For example, why do both blue and green mean essentially the same thing? And why are one or two green sectors left behind on an optimize? Mouseover shows them to be unmoveable. Then, shouldn't these leftovers be color-coded with some other color than green?
Summary
For a long time Auslogics had a defrag map that didn't work right. You might have gotten a working map on a particular partition if you were lucky. Now, the map works well and one session is all that's needed to defrag multiple partitions one at a time.
Very good, getting better. -
"The fastest defragmentation program"
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 3.3.0.2
Pros
The fastest defragmentation program I know. And very accurate. Recommend "optimization" that places system and most used files at the beginning.
Cons
No cons for this program.
-
"Great over the years."
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 3.3.0.2
Pros
Ability to put in on Auto defrag (enable in schedule) and set it to start automatically on boot. And then it auto defrags.
Cons
Automation option should be more visible instead of being hidden in options
Does not have boot time defrag like some competitors. Would really like feature that if it can be done safely.
