Aurora Media Workshop can be divided into three major functional areas: audio capabilities, video capabilities, and compact disc capabilities. It supports various types of audio formats including MP3, WAV, WMA, OGG, and almost all types of video formats such as MPEG, AVI (DivX, MPEG4), WMV, DAT, VOB, VCD, SVCD, and DVD. Audio feature includes sound recorder, sound converter, CD ripper; video feature lets you convert, edit, join, and split video, extract video sound and video images, and make video CD through photos or pictures. Aurora Media Workshop enables you to create music CD, back up important data to CD, and burn movie to VCD.

Version 3.3.6 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: Aurora Media Workshop 3.3.6

"Doesn't Do Squat"

Pros: Doesn't appear to do any damage to your computer.

Cons: 23 minutes into converting a 844 KB MOV into an AVI file, the Task Manager shows 100% CPU utilization, and there's still no AVI file. Slow doesn't begin to describe this dog - rigor mortis is more accurate. I've tried the conversion twice, and have yet to end up with a converted file. It appears that the download is just 13.8 MB of code that eats up idle CPU cycles without actually DOING anything. SIGH...next download.....
