Audio Notes Recorder is an easy to use voice notes program that offers three microphone modes (Normal, Spy, Voice Operated Recording) and records equally well from any other input line available with a sound card. In digital mode a cassette file consists of several recorded messages and each click on Record button creates a new message, while in analog mode a cassette file represents one continual rewritable message. The program also features export to WAV, MP3 or EXE, direct message sending as email attachment, changeable skins, Exact Time Positioner (ETP) bar for quick and precise positioning within a message, endless loop playback, mouse wheel support and a selection of keyboard shortcuts with most important controls available in off-focus mode and accessible while working with other programs.

Very short trial of few seconds. Interruptions to buy. No fair trial. Didn't find an editor.

Pros
The installation was easy. although i'm not too crazy about the default UI, but not difficult to figure out.
Cons
The product has very limited functionality for the eval copy, and it only allows a 60seconds recording.
Do not download it if you actually want to use it for a couple of times to see how it formats recording and play around with it.

Pros
Yes it works. Nothing exiting but it delivers. To avoid static recording, as other reviewers stated, turn off microphone and turn on StereoMix (Volume control, Options, Properties, click on recording, then adjust volume).
No malware detected (Kapersky Lab Antivirus v5.0.142)
Cons
The "cassette" concept is rather uncommon.
I don't like the skin, but it a minor point.

Summary
As the first reviewer said this just recorded static, and it gave me an error message when I restarted my computer. I had to exit it out of my taskbar in order to use the uninstaller.
