CNET Editors' review
While this program helps users filter Web sites and blocks ads such as third-party banners, setting the ad-blocking feature is not easy to do. AtomicLog uses Windows Winsock to monitor a computer's online activity and then charts usage data such as date and time you sent or received data through site visits, e-mail activity, file transfers, and chat-room sessions. The data can be filtered by day, week, month, or session. However, the report log does not differentiate between connections such as e-mail, Web browser, or chat programs. One helpful feature is the ability to click the IP-address column in the condensed log and get Whois lookup information. Users also can block any IP address by clicking the green dot next to the IP address and changing it to red. This fully-functional 15-day trial is designed for home and business users who want to track when and where their computer is connecting to the Internet.Publisher's Description
From TIFNY:
AtomicLog makes it easy to monitor and control your Internet activity. The program's easy-to-use graphical interface lets you merge historical and real-time usage to easily view how your computer is being used online. It monitors all of your Web site visits, e-mails sent and received, file transfers, chatroom sessions, videoconferencing, and all Web activity. It stops spyware, filters out unacceptable Web sites, and blocks annoying ads.

"Earlier version A+, this one lacks a file"
Version: AtomicLog 2
Summary
Used an earlier version last year with great success. Just d/l version 2.3 on my win98 machine and the install failed due to a missing "msvbvm60.dll". I installed VBrun60 from microsoft, and the recommended atomiclogsys files from AtomicLog into windows/system dir, but both apps failed to correct the missing file problem. Can't give this current version a thumbs up until I can successfully install it.
