Many applications, like CuteFTP, CoffeeCup Free FTP, VNC, IncrediMail, Outlook Express, and others, allows you to type a password for using it in the application. The typed password is not displayed on the screen, and instead of the real password, you see a sequence of asterisk ('****') characters. This utility can reveal the passwords stored behind the asterisks in standard password text-boxes. Asterisk Logger is a successor of AsterWin utility. It reveals the asterisk passwords in the same way as AsterWin utility, but it has some advantages over the previous utility.
Version 1.04 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Works beautifully! Easy to use, requires no installation! I just placed the executable in a folder and created a shortcut to it on my desktop. Can also be kept on (and run from) a flash drive.
Reveals all windows passwords. (Does not work on web browser passwords because it wasn't designed to do that. There are other browser password revealers out there for that purpose!)Cons
None. Does exactly what it was designed to do, in a lightweight, fast program.
Another reviewer said it is "junk" and "doesn't work". I suspect the person failed to read the simple instructions.
And NO, it does NOT contain any sort of Virus! That is a false positive because of the very nature of this piece of software. Because it decrypts and displays passwords, it is often treated as a threat by anti-virus and anti-malware programs.Summary
