Ashampoo WinOptimizer sports a clean, professional interface. You can go for the One-Click Optimization feature, which runs program at pre-determined settings, or run each of the 22 included tools individually. These are categorized under six groups: Clean up, Optimize, Privacy and security, Tune system settings, Diagnosis, and File tools. Within each category, specific features are listed on the right which makes for an easy two-pane navigation.
In addition to system tweaks, WinOptimizer comes with two skins and can create backups so that any changes can be undone. All of the tools, from the drive cleaner to defragger to the file splitter, ran without a hitch, smoothly and without disrupting other programs, and were effective. Novice users will appreciate the ease of use while pro users will find plenty of ways to get their hands dirty.

Pros
Used for years. Always stable and brings up surprising results. There is more to this software than is immediately obvious. The disk space explorer for example is very handy and it cleans up the debris after a windows update very effectively.
Cons
No negative comments. IIt sits quietly on my machine until required and works well when called upon.
Summary
I like reasonably priced software that loads and runs reliably. This does.

Not Vista 64bit compatible - Gadget needs to get around the Account Control without having to turn it off, and install its self into the Program directory and not the Program(86) directory by default (the gadget then works).

After the first and only use I had trouble with my computer.
Summary
After running the software the next time I booted up, my computer got so far and then shut down.This happened many times and it took me a long time to sort it out.I had no trouble like this before running the software and will not risk using it again.The main problem seemed to be connected with the McCafee Firewall, which I eventually had to remove to get my PC running again.

I dont like the fact I bought this program and it is not working I went to the tect many time to get help but it is still not working right after 30 or so warning baxs come up I can get it to run once but I hae no control of what it deletes or just to run ti right, the older program I had worked great but this one is giveing me problms I am waiting to see if I load it from a cd if it will work right, if it dont I am getting my money back and reloading the old one

Stabilised systems,speeded up startups and general running. No problems after auto fixes, as with some programs.
