Although this tweaking program doesn't seem to offer anything not available elsewhere, Ashampoo PowerUp XP Platinum 2 makes enhancing your system much easier and safer. The numerous settings are skillfully packed into a compact, stylish interface. Each tweak has a detailed description accessible with a mouse click. We couldn't possibly enumerate all the tweaks available, but they cover the Windows XP interface, file system, security, and boot options. You will even find a tool that creates several virtual desktops. Besides common enhancements, the program includes a utility to irrevocably delete information, to clean the Registry, and to optimize your Internet connection. Straightforward and safe, Ashampoo PowerUp XP Platinum 2 will appeal to novices, especially those who aspire to be power users.

  "a software company you can trust"

  Pros: I was using XP Smoker to tweak and enhance my windows, but this program is much better,I feel. Any software product that bears the name "Ashampoo" has always been top of the line,and Ashampoo PowerUp XP Platinum is no exeption. I recommend you try it and I give it 5 Stars and two thumbs up!

  "Just a a few thoughts!"

  Pros: I never found this to be an exceptional application when I was using "Windows XP" and it's not ready for "Vista" so I'd like to leave a few thoughts for "Ashampoo". When you consider that "Ashampoo" has two tweaking, tuning applications with neither being a stand out. I"d like to see them combine this application with "Win Optimizer 4" to make one good piece of software. This is a perfect example of a company with to many similar applicationsl. I've got a feeling that these two, combined with the best features of both, would make one nice tuning application for any windows operating system.

  Pros: this has so many features and tools and it needs bigginers like me to study them well before messing up with them because it might ruin the computer . so i consider this software is for experts only and winxpoptimizer 3 is for biggainers like me so i recommend it but i won't buy it untill iam an expert.

  "A great tool that's improved my computer's performance and speed."

  Pros: I won't pretend to be an expert. All I know is that my computer's performance became noticeably better once I installed this software. And by "better," I mean a LOT faster. Faster reboots. Faster internet surfing. All my other software suddenly became faster. Why? Don't know. But that's what's happened and I find the difference quite amazing!

  I've also been able to enable and disable some Windows features and startups that I couldn't figure out how to configure previously. That's a big PLUS.

  Cons: That I find it difficult to understand the user interface, but I'm learning.
