From Ashampoo :Thousands of videos have been made available via online portals such as YouTube, GoogleVideo and others. They offer amusing fun videos, film trailers, snippets of cult movies and serious documentations. However, on the Net there is frequently a view-only policy download not possible. All you need to do is to copy a videos current http:// address from the Web browser and paste it into ClipFisher: immediately, the cunning tool will be flexing its download muscles and starting to transfer the film to your hard drive. In this way, compiling your own little (or big, for that matter) video library is no problem at all. Of course, the program has yet more to offer. Once downloaded, its possible, for instance, to play the Flash films straight away in ClipFisher. If you want to, you may also convert your films to WMV, the Windows standard format. When converting, ClipFisher will adjust the film to your individual requirements.

Pros: Easily finds and downloads video clips in flv format which it converts later. Nice and user friendly interface.
Cons: More convertion formats would improve this app but if you want you can use ClipFinder and another app to convert your clips

"Downloads and Coverts in One Program Simply and Easily"
Pros: Can download one file while converting a different file. operation is simple and intuitive. Has a single output WMV which is easily dragged and dropped to my Sansa Converter. Pity Sansa didn't build this into their Converter Program for direct transfer to my E270 player

Pros: found it easy to use and up to now has downloaded every video I wanted and converted to wmv with no problems.
