To all of you who complain about problems and crashes... get support... because you are missing out on the best DVD authoring program ever. No programs are flawless, that's why there's techsupport, and most of the time there are solutions. Just take the time to at least try! My home movies are all on DVD now and look soooooo coooool. The motion menu backgrounds ROCK!!! JUST LOVE IT!!!

Summary
can`t capture in AVI format with resolution larger than 352x288, it is posible to capture in 640x480 only in mpeg formats. Also I find it hard to use. Nero is easyer, but on the other hand nero got some other problems, like not capturing audio.

This software came with my HP USB DVD burner "DC4000". I use a Dell 2GHz machine with 500MB RAM on an XP platform.
This software has yet to work properly for me. Many crashes and endless hourglasses along with software that tries so hard to be user friendly, it stumbles all over itself.
Adding a transition to a project always results in a crash. Trying to move about within the video project causes a crash. Capturing S-video or composite video is a very risky venture that usually results in a crash or leaves out 90% of the video thought to be captured.
The editing interface makes little or no sense and the preview window is too small.
There has to be something better out there. I would stay away from this one. -

Having a media center pc, I wanted a program which I could use to edit out commercials and copy tv programs to dvd. I have tried many times, but I still have not been succesful. Every time I try to edit a video, it blacks out on the preveiw eventually and I must reopen the project, which takes about 5 minutes. Then once I have rrepeated this several times, I try to write to a dvd. After the hour or so it takes to write, I pop it in to my dvd player and it only has about 30 minutes of whatever I tried to write. Totally worthless and now I must buy new software to use my dvd-rw at all.
