"Excellent freeware video converter"
Pros: Several folks reviewed this software as inoperable. The problem is with their equipment. Its fast and stable, and does a good job of rendering clear divx movies. The interface is simple and intuitive. Certainly one of the best freeware video converters I have used and have used several. If it werent for the DIVX convert compilation problem below, I would rate this higher than DIVX converter.
Cons: If you want to convert VOB to divx it converts well but you need to supply each VOB file and you end up with a bunch of divx files which the needs to be joined. This is the most undesirable operation. DIVX converter (shareware) ensures that the whole movie from a DVD is compiled properly, as one DIVX file.

Cons: DOES NOT do convert between any video format. it only converts to mpg, mp4, and MAYBE flv if you're lucky.

Pros: I loved how fast it was, and how it can convert ANY VIDEO (or close) to ANY VIDEO, with crystal clear viewability.
Cons: There is a pop up at the end after every time you convert your video, asking you to buy it. Ofcourse it's annoying, but it's free, so I can't complain.

Version: Any Video Converter 2.07
Pros: This program worked great for me. i was able to convert a 700 MB movie in RMVB into an avi. all other programs that can do this cost way too much. It was really easy and fast to install and so far has run without any problems. i dont know what the others are talking about when they say only 3 min. conversion. converted my entire movie without trouble and without any watermarks or anything, as well as without taking any money out of my wallet!
Cons: so there are just a few small things. One, the conversions of a large file take a long time. just leave the program on while you sleep or something. took me about an hour and a half for 700MB. And two, i didnt notice the size controls the first time. when you convert, check the size you are converting to. i accidentally shrunk it to iPod size. just put size on Original, and you'll be good. other than that, AMAZING FREE PROGRAM!!

"The software is limited to 3 minutes of conversion"
Cons: There is a three minute limitation in this "free" software.
