From AnalogX :Inspired by the old Speak and Spell toy, AnalogX SayIt will read (via speech synthesis) any word or phrase you type in. Type in any word or phrase, set the sliders to the appropriate settings, and click the Render button to create a WAV file. Or use the Preview button to hear what it sounds like. Several options let you tweak the voice from sounding young to old or from male to female, change the speed, and more. AnalogX SayIt outputs 16-bit WAV files and can handle phrases of up to 500 characters.

Version: AnalogX SayIt 2.03
"Gives the computer the "Gift of Gab!""
Pros: IF this was made by anyone else it would have a price tag on it(like many other products) but since the creater is devoted to quality products and not his/her bank account, it's free. And fun to play around with!
Cons: Were talking a straight robotic Monotone voice,(U can change the pitch and speed but) It would of been nice if there was an option for different sounds like celebrity voices or something.

Pros: It's a fun toy.
Cons: The quality of the output is seriously lacking. It may have been inspired by the Speak and Spell toy, but the speech synthesis in this program pales in comparison to even that 30 year old technology.

"Small,easy to download, Fun to play with."
Pros: I have used AnalogX products before so I felt safe about installing it. It downloaded with no snags. Is easy to learn.
It is nothing real great but it IS free.
Would be good for someone that is mute.
I am going to use it to make messages for my,phone, answering machine. And to talk to telecom.people/solicitors on the phone.

"not quite good, but not totally worthless"
Pros: i like it 'cause it works, more or less, but nuthin' special
Cons: it has few bugs, lack of help, and it 'preview' option doesn't work so well.. anyway - i wouldn't waste my time with this. respect 2 the author, but it's .. bad. :|

"It's the only thing you can aford when you aren't rich."
Pros: no confusing menus, no limits.
Cons: You may have trouble rendering the text to a Wav file now that the company added direct preview support.
