Publisher's description
From Allmydata :Allmydata provides secure, automated online backup for your files and documents, offering unlimited free storage as well as paid backup/restore services. It acts as a virtual hard-drive on your system such that dragging and dropping files onto it sets up the backup process. No unencrypted data ever leaves your computer and only you have the passphrase to decrypt it. The system works by encoding files and splitting them into many pieces. The pieces are then redundantly distributed on our network of storage nodes in such a way that only a small percentage of the pieces must be recovered in order to fully restore a file. Version 1.5 features many small updates such as double click download and also lays the groundwork for a web client, file sharing.

Version: Allmydata 1.5
Pros: Interesting idea from creator but...
Cons: ...its not exactly offering their storage spaces instead of ours! Well unlimited its depend on how much HD spaces we generously afford to share to the other members...more share more space. This common methods already implied as same as file-sharing technology like kazaa/limewire and they brilliantly applied here in this programs. I dont know what going on if our backup files in specific remote locations has offline status?
