From COR Entertainment :Alien Arena 2006 Uranium Edition is a multiplayer online deathmatch game with built in bots, powerful weapons, and stunning graphics. Powered by version 5.02 of the CRX engine, this game features incredibly fast gameplay and next-generation engine features such as light bloom and reflective water. The game includes 34 maps, eight weapons (with alt-fire modes), nine player characters, mutators, five gameplay modes, and an in-game server browser. Version 5.02 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
Note: This is a very large (171MB) file and may take several hours to download via dial-up modem.

Pros: Completely free.
A classic futuristic sci-fi arena shooter. If you liked the "Quake" series and "Unreal Tournament" series.
Cons: 1. It will run very poorly on poorer pcs. if you dont have a decent pc, dont bother.
2. Highly unoriginal. Like I said about it being like quake and unreal tournament, its like a mix between the two.
3. The alien characters that you can be are pretty stupid looking.
Bottom line, go ahead and try it if you have a decent pc.

"a solid shooter... but not much else"
Pros: a free, solid shooter for windows. nothin too bad about that.
Cons: Levels arent that creative and animation isn't necessarily jaw dropping. personally had trouble connecting with other users, but that's just me.

"This Game has the worst graphics and gameplay"
Pros: The first person shooter element is good.
The maps are good. Its free.
Cons: The Graphics are gross ! The graphics in this game are comparable to Drake of the 99 Dragons. (if you xbox owners know what I mean!) This game overall is HORRIBLE !

"don't listen to whiner brats - it's a fun game for people with older harware"
Pros: Have you people giving this game 1 star even played it for more than a few minutes? I never saw any promise of next gen graphics, but that's not what makes a great game. I'm a fan of some of the earlier FPS games, like Unreal Tournament, etc. This game was totally worth the download, and btw, I have NO affiliation with the developers - I've never even gone to their website. I just can't believe people can trash a pretty fun, FREE game, just cause the graphics aren't like doom 3.
I downloaded this game for my laptop with integrated graphics, and it runs smooth as silk, and the opengl graphics look just fine.
Cons: OH NOES, *** GRAPHIKS LOOK LIEK MORE THAN 2 YEARS OLD< LIEK BEFORE I WUZ BORNED.
LOL... yeah, there really isn't any cons other than whiners that think they can diss a fun free game.
