Alex the Allegator 4 is a pure jump-'n-run, just like the old classic platform games. Guide Alex through the jungle to save his girlfriend, Lola, from evil humans who want to make a bag out of her. The game is not very big, but it holds a few surprises. It runs in a low resolution with only four colors and will not provide you with any real-time video or 3D effects. Nor will it ensnare you with a compelling story line. It's only a platform game with a few tricks up its sleeve, but we're sure you'll like it. The download includes a built-in editor, with which you can create and play your own levels.

Pros
Throw back to classic side scrolling Mario Games. Nothing new here but it's a well done tile based game. The bonus is a full level editor. I showed it to my 6 year old son and went away for 20min and he had made his first "game". Awesome!
Cons
B&W for the retro look I suppose but it's part of the charm. I would always want more features for the editor but really for free this is a great little game.

Pro's - that its cute, the concepts cute. Reminds me of when I was six and playing one of the first versions of mario.
Cons
Con's - That it's shaded green, grey and white - NO COLOUR. :( Even Mario had colour goin on. It doesn't allow you to close the window until you die or win and go back to the main level. Haven't yet fgured if you can turn the annoying mario like music off. etc. Yeah, for a '3D'game its not great. I'm not picky with games but this isn't something I would use my time on...sorry.
