"Doesn't work"
Version: Album Cover Finder 7.1.0
Pros
-They had no problem processing my credit card and taking money
Cons
-Doesn't do what it's supposed to do
-No supportSummary
I downloaded ACF for mac. (I have OS 10.6.6). Initially had trouble upgrading to the paid license version. It didn't automatically upgrade as the directions said it would, and it took some time to figure that out.
The tech support guy got back to me and refunded my money (without my having to ask for a refund) because he was "going to be on vacation for the next two weeks" and unable to help me. I appreciated the refund.
The user interface is terrible. But most importantly, it just doesn't work. It freezes at a certain stage every time and won't unfreeze no matter how much time you give it.
I emailed tech support and they didn't bother to respond.

its easier to just google a title than use this interface, its slow buggy and very frustrating, save your 11 bucks and do your own footwork,.. its faster -
"Crash Bang"
Version: Album Cover Finder 6.1.3
Summary

On the most recent updated version everytime I attempt a complete check of all songs for album cover art I get an unexpectedly quits notice part way through and clicking on relaunch does not relunch. Bummer, as past versions have been trouble free and a joy to use. -
"So far, great"
Version: Album Cover Finder 5.1
Summary

Had many holes in the iTunes library artwork I needed filled and with the automatic feature.....it goes through your entire library, in the background, finding and installing artwork. I highly recommend the product. The support I've received from the developer is top notch...all for $6. -
"What the h**l are people talking about??"
Version: Album Cover Finder 5.0
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I've used ACF for several years. I paid $6 a couple of versions ago and the program automatically updates me for free. I just tried v 5.0 and, as usual, it was simple and straightfoward to use. It got the missing album covers, hooked me to reviews, a group's catalog, last.fm, tour information, bios...what more do people want? Teletransportatiion to front row seats of the artist for sold out concerts? I mean, geez. This is a great program, fully worth the small shareware fee and you're impaired if you can't easily use it to your advantage. And don't even insult me by thinking that I have some connection to the developer, I don't. -
"Read Feedback Before You Buy"
Version: Album Cover Finder 4.2.1
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I paid for the "full" version without reading the feedback on Versiontracker here. I have to enter my serial # EVERY time I launch, which is frequently, because the app crashes whenever I switch between it, iTunes, and Safari too quickly. It did work (after 4 tries) when I attempted the "fill entire library" function, but not very well. You'd think it'd be able to find The Beatles, for example. Nope.
User Interface Sux.
No clear directions / help / instructions.
Maybe your experience'll be different. But I recommend trying it in demo mode first and reading user feedback. It could save you $9. -

After finding out this app works very slooooowwwww on a macintel mini, i asked support@amphonicdesigns.com if this is a specific problem or that it has to do with the app not being universal binary.
No answer, no answer, no answer...
So, I can't say I have the same experience as in the previous comment. -

"4.1.2"
Version: Album Cover Finder 4.1.1
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
The developer has been exceedingly helpful in resolving an issue involving importing to AIFF iTunes files. His assistance was prompt and resulted in his posting version 4.1.2, which is avaible through the Automatic Notification is the app's preferences. (Although as I type, I don't see it yet available here at VersionTracker X.) Along with the developer's Remove Artwork freeware, Album Cover Finder is an easy app to use for the intended purpose. ...Well worth the Shareware fee. -
"Promising"
Version: Album Cover Finder 4.0.7
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I tried this with a few simple searches intially, adn it worked OK. In the demo version, it will find only one album by an artist. I paid my 9USD, and it opened up to find lots. Basically, the program does an auto search on Amazon for covers, uses wikipedia to search artist info etc. There are some features which may or may not work, and I haven't yet worked out the iTunes connection, but as far as album searches go, it seems to work fine. It's not exactly mac-intuitive, bu t I will work my way round it.
