The personalized anti-spam incorporates both traditional spam filtering criteria such as white- and black lists and keyword filtering. Agnitum's performance-driven security is lightweight and doesn't slow your computer down; it is even suitable for netbook and other low-end PCs. The SmartScan3 optimization boosts subsequent scan speed and overall system responsiveness. The new data filtering optimization delivers increased performance for the firewall module, further reducing resource usage. No matter your level of expertise, Outpost Security Suite Free will meet your needs with automatically-applied anti-malware updates as well as real-world security policies from the ImproveNet user collaboration network. This unique system automatically configures and applies rules that govern how various applications on the PC access the Internet based on extensive default settings for the most popular software packages. This relieves users of the need to correctly configure Outpost to handle different programs. Pros

Very easy set-up
Hardly any system resorces used
Automatic updates
Real-time protection
On demand scanning
An Idiot can use this and be protected to a point!
Totally thought free antivirus.
Has a firewall and anti-stuff also.Cons
No scheduled scanning..at least in free version. Conflicts during install with Comodo Firewall.
Summary
Perfect for newbies, second computers, older computers, second opinions and spring cleaning. Get a second scheduled Anti-virus scanner like Clamwin and you are totally covered with this software. This is light on resources and has an impressive "no can tell" unabtrusive presence.
I can only say a thousand words here. Try the download to get the picture. -
"Extreme bandwidth usre"
Version: Agnitum Outpost Security Suite Free (64-bit) 7.1.1
Pros
I did not use this program long enough to observe any positives.
Cons
I installed Comodo, downloaded all of the definitions updates and, thereafter, the program consumed approximately 100 MB per 15 minute session consisting or reading emails and news sites (no streaming audio, video, or attachments). I have a 5 GB/month data plan and, at that rate, I would use all of my allotment within a week. In troubleshooting the issue, I noticed that this seems to be an issue with Comodo (probably cmdagent related) but, given this amount of bandwidth usage, I would not have enough bandwidth to search/apply the various fixes offered by users. I've switched to the free Outpost Security suite bv. 7.1.1 which is rated as good as Comodo by Matousec. It is worth noting that, with Outpost, I average 12.1 MB for the same 15 minute session that consumed 100 MB with Comodo.
Summary
There are ample good programs available such that it makes no sense to me to waste my time (and resources) trying to fit a widely known buggy program to my system - even if it was a matter that the issue lies with my OS and related programs. I should have performed a more thorough review before I installed Comodo; I suggest you do to.

"Blocks Many IE9 Updates/web pages..., full-scan daily."
Version: Agnitum Outpost Security Suite Free (64-bit) 7.1.1
Pros
It's free, but too limited...
Cons
-Blocked IE9 Adobe Flash, Java , and Ghostery updates until Exit.
-Ran Secunia Online Software Advisor (update checker) sandboxed, and No results?
- Blocks Many Trusted web pages from loading, and no notification (i.e. weather.com...).Summary
-Runs a silent 1hr+ full scan every day (really slows my fast system!), and no way to UN-schedule it (per forum).
-Every defrag kicks off a silent quick-scan (slows).
-Firewall auto-trusts everything (including malware), and no way to see/edit/control...
I'm back to fast/free Avira Antivir Personal, and nifty fast/free PrivateFirewall-
No problems whatsoever, and I have full control. -
"Seriously under rated...top 2 in category, if not no.1"
Version: Agnitum Outpost Security Suite Free (64-bit) 7.1.1
Pros
http://www.matousec.com/ This speaks volumes. Forget Zone alarm, it has been sliding in a deep hole for years. Comodo IS, needs to be simplified and I noticed Cnet dropped it's review!?
Cons
None than I can think of, it is pretty much set it and forget. Also, come on Cnet review this, it deserves it.
Summary
Simple to use. It has all necessary features. It ranks very, very high http://www.matousec.com/ It is FREE, now no need to be afraid to try it. This puts Zone alarm to shame, but others do that as well, lol. This 1 of free tools, is one of the rare times that I am very pleased that I tried it. So far a keeper, for sure. :)

"Almost kept it."
Version: Agnitum Outpost Security Suite Free (64-bit) 7.1.1
Pros
Installs and uninstalls fine now. Has improved since the last time I tried it.
Cons
The auto learn mode can not be turned off (or I couldn't find the settings for it). The automatic rule creation didn't turn off even when I set it off in the settings options (I wanted to control which programs can use the internet myself).
Summary
The cons I wrote are fixed now after a re-install.
