This isn't the most feature-packed Windows-optimization utility, nor the most effective, but we found it one of the easiest to control. Advanced WindowsCare's simple interface offers two main options: Repair and Repair And Optimize. The former fixes Registry entries and cleans out your operating system. The latter does the same thing and tweaks Windows for maximum performance.
If you run into trouble, the Restoration option can return your system to its original configuration. The Advanced menu provides fine control over repairs and optimizations. On the downside, we noticed only one improvement on our test PC: a reduced amount of used RAM. Also, the program's brief descriptions of system problems may not satisfy seasoned users. And although the latest version of the app includes a help file, we wouldn't call it extensive.
Nevertheless, if your system is running sluggishly and you're considering reinstalling Windows, it wouldn't hurt to try this freeware package first.

Version: Advanced WindowsCare Personal 2.51.805
Pros: I have tried a TON of registry cleaners/optimizers, and NONE of them have ever actually made my Vista run faster and smoother except for Advanced WindowsCare Personal! I'm talking expensive products like TuneUp Utilities, Ace Utilities, Super Utilities, and jv16. Save your money and download this fantastic free software product. Advanced WindowsCare is the BEST!!

Version: Advanced WindowsCare Personal 2.51.805
Pros: Because this has been updated many-many times, I keep downloading the newest version, using, and getting a email from Cnet asking for my review. It continues to work great, with all the updates, and so I still give it my highest rating.

Version: Advanced WindowsCare Personal 2.51.805
Pros: Very good system information pages, useful accessory spyware scan (the software honestly warns you not to reply on this as a first line of defence) and immunisation feature, extensive range of cleaning tools, all in a neat, easy to use interface.
Cons: The startup cleaner facility is downright dangerous. I had to reinstall Avira AntiVir PE Classic and Windows Defender, and manually replace the startup keys for Google Desktop and Gmail Notifier.
If this application is as unsafe in its handling of the startup programs, what else is it doing in the depths of the registry? Scary! With a twinge of regret, I uninstalled it immediately I discovered what it had done...

"Now, this is great freeware."
Pros: I use very few free applications on my computers but I use this one several times a day, just not all it's functions. It's great at blocking thousands of "Active X" based spywares. It gets the few cookies and trash files left over by "Tracks Eraser Pro". "Iobit" works hard at this application and it shows. It works great with "Vista". New versions and updates come often and are easy to download. It has a simple, easy to use interface so everyone can figure it out. I use other applications to optimize my system and control my startup Items but I'm sure this application would do a good job at these things, should I choose to use it that way. I hate all registry cleaners (I just don't trust any of them) so I don't use that module either but I can assure everyone that the things I use it for are all great performers. I like this software and think everybody who tries it will to.
Cons: I only gave this application 4 stars because I don't care for the sidebar add that opens with it in the free version, and because I hate registry cleaners. I use "Tuneup Utilities 2007" or "Reg Edit" only on my registry and I look hard at every key before I delete it. Past experience has taught me my lessons, the hard way.
