Advanced System Cleaner is what you might call a jack-of-one-trade, with a mixed bag of tools designed to find and remove space-hogging files. A beginner-friendly launch console provides access to the components. Disk Analyzer displays charts that show which folders and files are consuming the most space; however, it doesn't let you delete files without switching to Windows Explorer. Duplicate File Finder finds dupes quickly but doesn't let you choose how to search for them (for example, by name, by size, or by content). The Registry cleaner performs quickly and provides a backup utility, but it doesn't alert you if any keys represent potentially harmful spyware threats. The Privacy Protector feature won't replace a full-blown security suite, but it can clean up your history from Internet Explorer, the Start menu, common Windows system areas, and a couple of third-party applications. You'll also find a Registry defragmentation tool. Piece by piece, the tools in Advanced System Cleaner don't exactly shine, but together they provide an effective way to keep PCs in good running order.Publisher's description
From Yamicsoft :Over time, computer system hard drive space will seem to shrink, this is almost always a direct result of un-useful applications, duplicate, junk and obsolete file accumulation, and the Windows registry becomes bigger and bigger. You can easily clean these junk files and Registry using this software. By Privacy Protector, you can ensure your privacy and keep sensitive information secure by regularly eliminating these tracks that you leave behind. Version 1.8.0 Add Disk Analyzer; Add Duplicate Files Finder.

Version: Advanced System Cleaner 1.8
Pros: Advanced system cleaner has a disk analyzer, program uninstaller, junk file cleaner, duplicate files finder, registry cleaner, registry defrag and a privacy protector.
The junk file cleaner found 254 junk files, and by removing all of them I gain 15,241.84kb of disk space. You can right click on any junk file that it finds. And get details about the junk files, to find out if they are really junk files before you delete them. When I clicked delete on the junk file cleaner, all junk files go to the recycle bin, so they can be recovered if needed.
I like the privacy protector because you can clean everything, when you click clean privacy and click clean. Or you can uncheck boxes, and select what you want to clean. The program uninstaller works but after it uninstalls a program. Then it has to analyze the correlative information, to finish uninstalling the program.
