Version: Advanced Spyware Remover 1.92
Pros: The previous version has some problem, I have emailed the author and he told me that the fixed version has been uploaded. There is some problem that was made by mistake and it's all right now. In all, it's still a nice product!

Version: Advanced Spyware Remover 1.92
Pros: It found a back door trojan horse right away and I have AVG running! Who knows how long it has been on my PC. Easy to use and runs very quickly.
Cons: Because it is free it is has a limited number of detection rules. If you want full protection, you will have to pay. I will keep my other program as a back up.

Version: Advanced Spyware Remover 1.92
Pros: The free version is totally free. The Scan is fast.
Cons: It doesn't have the customer support, and it doesn't search for everything. It only has 1/4 of viruses available on the professional version, which you have to pay for. I had AVG running when I downloaded, and it alerted me to a backdoor trojan, which I healed before downloading. Think I'll stick to AVG.

Version: Advanced Spyware Remover 1.92
Pros: I wasn't able to use this program as my antivirus alerted me of a trojan horse during installation of "Advanced Spyware Remover"
Cons: The post by author says that this is a false alert and includes some supposed comment by "McAfee". Well, this doesn't fly with me and even if he was right, this program still raises many questions in my mind.
1) Didn't he test this program?? Because it's not just McAfee that's seeing it as a virus, but AFG and possible others as well?
2) Why does he put this audiocfg.exe file, which I assume is part of the program (and which is the file that triggered the alert), in system folder?
3) Why did he call the file "audiocfg"? If this file is specifically for his program, I expect to see the program name or acronymn as part of the file name. I searched for this file on the internet and couldn't find any results.
4) I went to Mcafee.com and searched for this program and nothing came up to validate the note he says he got from McAfee.
I don't recommend that people download or use this program as it looks very fishy at best and at worst, I have yet to see proof that this is NOT a trojan horse.

Version: Advanced Spyware Remover 1.92
Pros: The excuse the company gives as to not having a trojan in it is false. IT DOES! When you run the program it puts 'audiocfg.exe' in the windows/system32 folder. This is the trojan. It also puts an entry into the startup menu to activate it when you start your computer. Check it out fo yourself. Why in the system32 folder? Why name it audiocfg.exe if it has nothing to do with audio. The company is not telling you the truth. They seam to be very deceptive. IT IS SYPWARE ITSELF STAY AWAY. AVG calls it a trojan virus and it is. Watch your ports!
