Due to its large and versatile feature set, Advanced Searchbar for Windows makes a fine surfing companion to just about all regular Internet users. The program takes a bit longer to install than most toolbars, but once you see how much easier it can make your life, you'll probably forgive this. Similar to other applications of this type, Advanced Searchbar for Windows provides a tool for quickly searching the Web, but its list of supported sites is enormous, ranging from stalwarts such as Yahoo and Google to specialty locations such as FindLaw. This toolbar also features icons for accessing many other sites and applications, including popular media players, IM clients, e-mail programs, Web-based video games, news sites, and antispyware utilities. The ability to add and remove any shortcut you don't regularly use is an excellent touch, as are the built-in file shredder, calculator, and calendar. As you might expect, this toolbar includes a pop-up blocker, which demonstrated decent but not immaculate performance during our tests. We also liked the user-customizable RSS reader and the assorted tools for tidying up your computer. Even though Advanced Searchbar for Windows' utilitarian name might not make you sit up and take notice, its extensive functionality surely will.Publisher's description

You get home-page protection, a screensaver launcher, a calculator, a calendar, 78 free games, media players (for CDs, DVDs, MPEGs, and MP3s), a sound recorder, system utilities, computer-disk utilities, Windows Registry utilities, Web-page translation (for 12 languages), 67 news providers, 37 e-mail providers, and 22 news tickers. The program integrates with instant messengers (AIM, MSN, GAIM, ICQ, mIRC, Trillian, Yahoo Pager), e-mail programs (Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, Thunderbird), and spyware-removal programs (Spybot - Search & Destroy, Ad-Aware, PestPatrol, MS AntiSpyware).
Version 3.06 adds a file-shredder feature.

Version: Advanced Searchbar for Windows 3.06
"********* A++++ THE BEST TOOLBAR ON THE NET THAT IS SPYWARE FREE! *********"
Pros: This toolbar delivers the most precise results for anything you can throw at it. I use it to search the net. I use it to check Ebay (it has it built into the toolbar), I use it to search on Amazon (again it is built right in), plus you can customize it and make it your own - and add in tons of your favorite search-engines to use. It has tons of cool games, my kids love it for that feature. Tons of news providers to keep you informed - the most concise list I have ever seen. Handy features - such as built it eraser features to erase all kinds of stuff - like URL History of websites I visit, Cache Erasing, Temp Erasing, plus so much more. It really does have it all. I give this toolbar an A++++ or how it goes here a 5 Star Rating.
Cons: None to mention other than these other reviewers are saying that it contains Spyware, and it doesn't. I run AdAware, Microsoft Anti-Spy, and Spybot Search & Destroy, and none of them ever come up with Advanced Searchbar as Spyware - it simply does not contain Spyware - that other software that costs $30 bucks or so called Spysweeper is a waste - why pay for something that gives you false results when you can use the "Big 3" for free that tell the story much better.

Version: Advanced Searchbar for Windows 3.06
Pros: This toolbar has it all. Many features too long to list. This toolbar is like having the entire Internet right at your finger-tips. Amazing. Amazing. Very useful. Very helpful. I can't surf the Internet without it. This is by far the best toolbar I have ever used, and guess what? I have tried them all (Google's, Yahoo's, MSN's, Dogpile's, MyWay's) - and this toolbar comes out on top. The Best.
Cons: NONE. I ran Spysweeper from WebRoot, and yeah it did come back as Spyware - but they have it dead wrong. They should test software first, then put it into their list if it contains spyware - but it is obvious that they do not test, they just think because it is a free toolbar that it must contain spyware - I hate spyware and can make a statement that this toolbar does not contain one ounce of any spyware whatsoever. Totally FALSE result from Spysweeper - you are better of using the free one from Microsoft, I think it is called Anti-Spy - it is much more accurate and best of all....FREE...
