As a program that repairs faulty entries in your Registry to boost your computer's performance, Advanced Registry Doctor Lite gets the job done, although you shouldn't expect a full repair all at once.
A wizardlike window provides options for scanning your Registry for errors, such as invalid program paths, orphaned help files, file extensions, and fonts. Search results are sorted according to category and displayed in the dual-paned main interface. We like that the program shows the level of severity of each item, giving users a better idea of the problem. While we appreciate that it can fix the problems found, we were disappointed it removes only 33 percent of the total errors at a time.
If something goes wrong after the repair process, we're glad you can easily roll back the changes. Also, there is a utility for managing start-up programs. Alas, extra features, such as a defragmenter, a backup utility, and a scheduler, are available only in the Pro version. While some users may long for the features that the Pro version offers, this application is competent and robust enough to keep any user's system running at a high level of performance.

"Doesn't complete the job even when it says it did."

It was able to detect 50+ errors
Cons
After detecting the 50+ errors, I "fixed" the problems, which was fairly easy. Then I followed up with another scan to verify the repairs. All of the errors were still there. I tried several more times, correcting the errors each time, but the results were the same. I contacted support for help, and while they were courteous and attempted to help, they were unsuccessful. I finally followed the path of each individual error and corrected it manually.

I think the fixes it made to the registry saved me from a fresh install of XP so far ... System started to behave strange some timees but after effecting more than 400 fixes and defrag of the registry it seems to be more stable again
