It's not advanced in the true sense of the word, but this tool quickly scans for and removes junk files on your PC. Advanced Disk Cleaner is designed with the novice in mind, and scans are easily initiated with the touch of a button. Junk files are listed separately, and you can quickly select all of the files or handpick which ones to delete. As it scans, a helpful status bar shows how many folders have been scanned and how many junk files have been found. By default, the program scans for certain extensions like TMP and BAK, and you can add or remove extensions.
We liked the three options that allow you to completely remove junk files, place them in the Recycle Bin, or move them to a user-specified folder. The program also provides access to your computer's RegEdit and Control Panel. You won't find other tools (like a defragmenter) to manage or optimize disk space with this program. And even though its free, you will need a registration code to continue using the program after the 30-day trial. Despite the minor hassle of registration, Advanced Disk Cleaner can help any level user get rid of unnecessary files.

Advanced Disk Cleaner is a free program, which makes it easy to quickly find and wipe away all the garbage files on your computer. It scans your disks quickly and then displays the garbage files so you can decide which of them you want removed. The program accurately detects and identifies only the garbage files.
In the options dialog you can add or modify the folders and file types to clean, as well as the ones you want to be excluded from the search. You can also choose between several methods of deleting files or moving to a special folder or simple deletion. After using Advanced Disk Cleaner you will have more disk space at your disposal so you can install more programs, have more MP3 music files.
Version 4.7 solves a few minor Windows Vista compatibility issues.What's new in this version:

"Works Great - Careful on First Few Runs"
Pros: First cleaner I have every used. Easy to use and does a good job. A suggestion when you first run it; make sure to check the "Settings" so that files are placed into your Recycle Bin. Then test run it a few times and delete just a few files each time until you are comfortable (since it will find MANY). If you delete a file by error, just restore from the Recycle Bin. When you are comfortable, run the full gambit and check out as many programs as you can - restore from Recycle Bin, if necessary.
Cons: Only two minor things; (1) I think it removed a few items needed for Office 2003, but no big deal as I had my CD handy to restore (at the time, did not know about my own suggestion above - ha ha). AND
(2) There is no indication that it is running (like an hour glass or blocks) - wondered a few times if it was doing anything until it finally erased all the files I had checked.

"Great Product to Clean out those temporary windows files"
Pros: It's easy to use it's free what else do you need.I would just download it every 6 months use it then uninstall it. It uninstalls very cleanly leaving no messy registry behind it.
Cons: None that I can think of.
