It's not advanced in the true sense of the word, but this tool quickly scans for and removes junk files on your PC. Advanced Disk Cleaner is designed with the novice in mind, and scans are easily initiated with the touch of a button. Junk files are listed separately, and you can quickly select all of the files or handpick which ones to delete. As it scans, a helpful status bar shows how many folders have been scanned and how many junk files have been found. By default, the program scans for certain extensions like TMP and BAK, and you can add or remove extensions.
We liked the three options that allow you to completely remove junk files, place them in the Recycle Bin, or move them to a user-specified folder. The program also provides access to your computer's RegEdit and Control Panel. You won't find other tools (like a defragmenter) to manage or optimize disk space with this program. And even though its free, you will need a registration code to continue using the program after the 30-day trial. Despite the minor hassle of registration, Advanced Disk Cleaner can help any level user get rid of unnecessary files.

Advanced Disk Cleaner is a free program, which makes it easy to quickly find and wipe away all the garbage files on your computer. It scans your disks quickly and then displays the garbage files so you can decide which of them you want removed. The program accurately detects and identifies only the garbage files.
In the options dialog you can add or modify the folders and file types to clean, as well as the ones you want to be excluded from the search. You can also choose between several methods of deleting files or moving to a special folder or simple deletion. After using Advanced Disk Cleaner you will have more disk space at your disposal so you can install more programs, have more MP3 music files. Version 4.4 corrects a few spelling mistakes.

Version: Advanced Disk Cleaner 4.4
Pros: Use the buttons that are for the free version and there will be no problems. This will increase pc speed and needed space. There is nothing wrong with this program. They did a good job making it. Thank you for making it free.

Version: Advanced Disk Cleaner 4.4
Pros: Clean interface, intuitive navigation through features, nice layout.
Cons: 1) Before it would install, I needed to download files from Windows update (minor); 2) Then, I had to update those files (minor); 3) Performed registry scan and upon being advised to back up registry, the application failed to either back up to another folder on my hard drive or burn a back up on a CD - simply got a "Failed in backup" message without explanation or any help messages (major); 4) Didn't find any "junk" files at all because I guess there weren't any(?); 5) Not sure what it did with "Privacy Protector" as results were not shown; 6) Some of the screen messages appeared to be written by someone that did not have a command of the English language ("Are you sure to delete the privacy?"); 7) Norton Utilities found a number of problems and corrected them when I ran it after running this application. I uninstalled it after trying it out and will not buy it.

"Well, I like the program, but ..."
Pros: The program runs quickly and looks at all available disks at the same time. The files found are really those that I want to delete with no extras. Even though the program is free, it must be registered. There is an evaluation period after which a registration code must be entered to continue. This doesn't bother me and I have requested the free registration code from the company.
Cons: The problem is that I have requested this code several times and never received it. The program now no longer runs.
So, I guess my stars rating would be *** for the program and zero stars (unless there is some way of assigning - stars) for the company.
