It's not advanced in the true sense of the word, but this tool quickly scans for and removes junk files on your PC. Advanced Disk Cleaner is designed with the novice in mind, and scans are easily initiated with the touch of a button. Junk files are listed separately, and you can quickly select all of the files or handpick which ones to delete. As it scans, a helpful status bar shows how many folders have been scanned and how many junk files have been found. By default, the program scans for certain extensions like TMP and BAK, and you can add or remove extensions.
We liked the three options that allow you to completely remove junk files, place them in the Recycle Bin, or move them to a user-specified folder. The program also provides access to your computer's RegEdit and Control Panel. You won't find other tools (like a defragmenter) to manage or optimize disk space with this program. And even though its free, you will need a registration code to continue using the program after the 30-day trial. Despite the minor hassle of registration, Advanced Disk Cleaner can help any level user get rid of unnecessary files.

Advanced Disk Cleaner is a free program, which makes it easy to quickly find and wipe away all the garbage files on your computer. It scans your disks quickly and then displays the garbage files so you can decide which of them you want removed. The program accurately detects and identifies only the garbage files.
In the options dialog you can add or modify the folders and file types to clean, as well as the ones you want to be excluded from the search. You can also choose between several methods of deleting files or moving to a special folder or simple deletion. After using Advanced Disk Cleaner you will have more disk space at your disposal so you can install more programs, have more MP3 music files.

Version: Advanced Disk Cleaner 4.0
Pros: Downloads and installs fast and easy...no spyware or viruses..had Microsoft Antispy running..nothing came up..simple interface..not complicated...just not impressed...
Cons: First of all, this is only a free trial...have to register to keep it..30 day evaluation...they don't tell you that in the product description. As for it's performance, if it errs it will be on the side of caution, which is good...some files arn't always easy to identify...it scans fast...maybe a little too fast...didn't find very much on my computer...but I use cCleaner all the time and it scans everything. Am always on the lookout for good utilities that are free..this one is ok...but I felt it didn't really do enough to justify the space. Again...simply not impressed!

Version: Advanced Disk Cleaner 4.0
Pros: i liked how it erased certain microsoft office components. oh wait, that sucked.
Cons: i had to re-install microsoft office after running this program. i don't even want to know how many other programs it messed up. do not use this program.
