Despite a few complaints, this Internet Exlporer-based browser makes a decent choice for those seeking an alternative. Like many of the newer browsers, Advanced Browser offers a basic, tabbed structure that lets you easily switch among open windows. We found the Groups feature, which lets you categorize sites and open them with a single click, to be especially useful. We also liked the option that let us save all open sites for automatic access at the beginning of our next surfing session. The pop-up killer turned out decent performance against most standard annoyances and Flash ads, but we wished it had a white list for compiling a list of allowed sites. Still, we did appreciate the ability to quickly enable or disable ActiveX objects, video, images, sounds, and scripts. Our quibbles with Advanced Browser mainly concern stability, as it hogged more resources than some of its competitors and occasionally stalled when we had multiple windows open. Regardless, there's enough here to make this free program worth a try.Publisher's description
From Advanced Search Technologies :Advanced Browser is a fast, stable, and user-friendly multiwindow (tabbed) browser. You can browse multiple Web sites simultaneously with a pop-up stopper and Flash ads disabler. The built-in cleaner helps users clear all traces to keep their online activities private. The built-in search engine enables users to search Web pages on the Internet. The application provides options to block the download of Macromedia Flash, pictures, videos, sounds, and ActiveX components. All opened pages can be easily stopped, refreshed, closed, or arranged with only one click.

Version: Advanced Browser 8.02 build 107
Pros: Better then Slim Browser, which has been giving trouble with favourite file disappearing when clicking on top of second lists of favourites, and left edge of Slim Browser browser being cut off.

Version: Advanced Browser 8.02 build 107
Pros: It's like Avant, so it's nice.
Cons: IE-based, and an Avant Browser copy! The interface of Advanced Browser and Avant Browser are very much the same, and the logos are very much similar. I don't know if this came from the same company as Avant, but this sure seems like a rip-off. Forgive me if I'm mistaken.
