"Great recovery program..."

July 14, 2014  |  By alex_grady

 |  Version: Adroit Photo Recovery 2012 3.2b

Pros

This one got more pictures than a few other tools that I tried. Very happy with the results.

Cons

None that I can think of.

Summary

My photos were on an external drive that I have been using for almost 5 years and it had tons of photos. The drive ofcourse died!! With some of the tools that I tried, I was seeing incomplete photos ... A little google searching told me that they could have been fragmented and that's how I got here. This tool surely recovers fragmented photos. Software delivers as promised. Definitely recommend this to others.

"Life Saver ..."

March 04, 2014  |  By jvance86

 |  Version: Adroit Photo Recovery 2012 3.2b

Pros

Recovered all my pictures from a corrupt card. Super easy to use.

Cons

Nothing here

Summary

My drive died after a super important photoshoot and I din't have back up copies. Windows/MAC both wanted me to format the card. Very friendly support team...they answered all my questions.
Plugged the card into the software and Voila! This product recovered ALL the pictures. Truly saved my life.

"this software SUCKS!!"

December 20, 2013  |  By Agawale

 |  Version: Adroit Photo Recovery 2012 3.2b

Pros

Easy to use and simple UI

Cons

I waste 4 hours of my time scanning for files, and the sofware makes me retype the registration code again, are u kidding me?????? also it will not accept all the characters in the box, the the program locks up and my 4 hr scan is long gone, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary

I was stressed about deleting photo files that for some reason thought that they were copied on PC. This has not happened before, and when I realized they were deleted, I tried resolve on my own. Nope, did not work.I gave a try to this tool but no success. So I looked on the web under "how to get photos from SD card after deleting them", and wondershare photo recovery appeared.
http://www.flash-video-soft.com/photo-recovery/
Well to my relief there was a way to get them back. However, a bit sceptically I asked questions to the tech who informed me it was going to be ok. Now what a relief after thinking that they were gone for good. Yes they all came back plus older ones that were copied and deleted as well. Wow, impressive!

PS I'm not advertising this program. I just found it useful and thought of sharing with others. I would also advise you to try before you buy.

"Outstanding Recovery, Reasonable Price"

December 19, 2013  |  By alrik_lindgren

 |  Version: Adroit Photo Recovery 2012 3.2b

Pros

Excellent recovery, easy to use

Cons

Doesn't recover videos

Summary

My computer crashed recently and I accidentally bungled the backup restore. This drive had tons of pictures and other documents. While I used other tools to recover regular files...they were average with photos. In my hunt for a good photo recovery tool, I tried this and interestingly got back pictures that I din't even know I had or to that matter had lost.

The recovery took its time - It took over 10 hours to scan my 320 Gb disk. I was worried because things were slow, But the results were impressive. I needed to connect an external hard drive to save the photos. I am guessing this is because the software does not alter the drive it is recovering from. Other good things are that you see thumbnails of pictures as they are being recovered.

Last thoughts, Excellent product value. I highly recommend Adroit Photo Recovery.

"Awesome! Got my pictures back!"

December 10, 2013  |  By alpha_dec1

 |  Version: Adroit Photo Recovery 2012 3.2b

Pros

The thumbnail display is very cool....Super easy to use. I love the idea that I get to see exactly what it recovered correctly and get to see the proof before buying it.

Cons

Nothing! Got back my stuff.

Summary

My camera malfunctioned and formatted my card. Lost all my thanksgiving pictures.
Tried some of the other tools recommended by users here. But looks like Adroit was the only
one that got me all my photos back. Worth the 20bucks

All I gotta say is...Thank you Adroit! Good job!

"Overall it seems to be a pretty good program."

October 28, 2013  |  By Millswoodsman

 |  Version: Adroit Photo Recovery 2012 3.2b

Pros

Easy to use and the way it displays the thumbnails is very nice. The cost is reasonable and it does a pretty good job of recovering photos.

Cons

It doesn't seem to do well at recovering data from a HDD that's been formatted. I've got another possible concern but I'll cover that in the summary.

Summary

I've been using Easeus software for a few years and for me that's become the benchmark that I measure all the rest against. ( Always looking for the company that builds a better mousetrap so to speak.)

I tried Easeus vs Adroit on a variety of random pulls out of scrapped PC's. They both seem to extract about the same amount of data from an operable drive but there's something that concerns me. I had a certain number of drives fail after being scanned with Adroit.

It's better not to jump to conclusions because with random used HDD's it could be anything and everything. Best guess at this point is that the used drives developed firmware problems that caused them to fail.

Just to be on the safe side I deleted the trial version of Adroit.

For the one time user trying to recover lost photos this isn't likely to be a problem. Twenty dollars spent is very reasonable and Adroit is a good choice for someone who hasn't used photo recovery software before.

Digital Assembly might want to see if they could recreate the HDD failure thing back in the lab though .....

It might be an issue - or - it might not be an issue.

"Great Product"

August 09, 2013  |  By Suzy323

 |  Version: Adroit Photo Recovery 2012 3.2b

Pros

Easy to use.

Cons

Expensive.

Summary

I tried three other photo recovery programs. All of which said that there were not files on my disk. This program recovered all but 3 or 4 of 450 photos I took on a vacation to the UK.

"Excellent program for data retrieval, but Photos ONLY!"

April 28, 2013  |  By roger-that

 |  Version: Adroit Photo Recovery 2012 3.2b

Pros

Brought back 90% of my photos from corrupted SD-RAM chip.
The company appears to have a good reputation, & their software operates professionally.

Cons

Had to rename EVERYTHING back to original name format manually.
Also, no videos or audio recordings retrieval!

Summary

Then, (stupid me for overlooking this), I went to restore the VIDEOS off the chip and found that Adroit ONLY does PHOTOS. So, after laying out $54 for the program, I only got HALF my data back. Had to go back to EaseUS, the other contender, who, for one low price (about the same as Adroit; you can get a price-reducing promo code via their Chat service, just for asking), retrieved virtually EVERYTHING! What a relief to see the videos of my daughter and of a recent trade show just a couple days ago all come back intact! Plus, most of my stuff came back with the original naming format, so I didn't have to waste time manually re-editing the photo name sequences.

Bottom line: Adroit is a professional, international-grade program that does indeed bring back your photos from corrupted sources, but ONLY the photos... no videos, no audio recordings, etc. (Somewhat limiting AND annoying).
But it worked well at what it does best. No complaints there.

"Only product that recovered my photos!"

March 14, 2013  |  By howarddj

 |  Version: Adroit Photo Recovery 2012 3.2b

Pros

Photos from my SD card just disappeared, not quite sure how that happened. Tried a few products and they recovered some but not all of my photos and some of the photos recovered were corrupt. I then did some more research and found out that some of the recovered corrupted photos may have been fragmented, and that Adroit was the only product that had fragment recovery technology. Of the 21 photos that I really needed back 19 were recovered by Adroit, the best I got with the others was 12.

Also love that they show you which photos are completely recovered and which ones are not.

Cons

I wish it was free, but 20 bucks to get back the photos I desperately needed was not so bad!

Summary

My experience suggests that this product is pretty amazing and am very happy with the results.

"Luckilly, there is a free tool for the task!"

March 04, 2013  |  By ZaraXenn

 |  Version: Adroit Photo Recovery 2012 3.2b

Pros

Okay, I panicked and almost paid for this one right away after trying it. But... After reading the reviews here about $19 being for only 7 days, I thought I should google a bit. Good that I did!

I found a freebie that made my day :)

Cons

Well... why pay if there's freebie that does the same job :)

Summary

It DOES work! I could see my images are there! But I found a free tool that also works! Pixtoolz!

I downloaded it from CNET too: http://download.cnet.com/PixToolz-Undelete/3000-2248_4-75745895.html

Got my pics and still have $ in my pocket :)
