Based on award winning forensic technology, Adroit allows for maximum photo recovery. With an easy-to-use interface and SmartCarving which recovers 15-20% more photos, Adroit takes photo recovery to a whole new level. It can recover deleted photos from internal and external hard drives, USB sticks, memory cards, digital cameras, and disk images in three easy steps. Simply point and click the drive or memory card to recover from and Adroit takes care of the rest. Detects accidentally formatted drives and memory cards automatically and tunes the recovery engine appropriately. During recovery, thumbnails of recovered photos stream through the screen.

"Success! Recovered 836 of 850 photos."
Version: Adroit Photo Recovery 2012 3.1a
Pros
Comprehensive, easy-to-use, good success rate. The unrecoverable photos looked like junk photos I had previously deleted from the memory card. A good value for the price.
Cons
Requires a memory card reader. Can't recover photos by plugging the camera into a usb cable.
Summary
Would definitely recommend use of this recovery tool.

"RECOVERS JPGS AND CAMERA RAW FILES!!!"
Version: Adroit Photo Recovery 2012 2.8a
Pros
Recovered 93.7% of nearly 1000 image files on my 16GB SD card. A few partially recovered files (corrupted) files. Tried this software--Adroit ($19.99)--and Pandora Recovery (free) tool. Adroit recovers both JPGs AND camera raw files. If JPGs are all you need, you can opt for the freeware. If camera raw files are important to you, definitely worth the small price for this software. Sadly, neither software recovered my movie files.
Adroit actually shows how many files are fully recovered and partially recovered. The majority of my "partially recovered" files seemed perfectly fine and usable. A few corrupted files. (Whereas Pandora Recovery only shows what's recovered.)Cons
Movie files were NOT recovered. One small JPG thumbnail recovered for each movie file that was previously there. But they didn't claim to recover movies, only photos and images. I'm listing this as a con just so you'll know not to expect it.
Summary
I accidentally deleted all files from my thanksgiving trip on my SD card... er, definitely HUMAN ERROR is to blame. (Sigh) I'm supposed to KNOW better!
TIPS if this happens to you too: The key to a successful recovery is NOT to take new pictures into the memory card. Lock the card as soon as you realize the mistake. Run a recovery tool and DO NOT recover back to the same disk you're recovering from. -
"Wow! Great!"
Version: Adroit Photo Recovery 2012 2.8a
Pros
I just spent $20 and got back pictures I was sure were gone forever - hospital pictures of a new born and church pictures of Thanksgiving lunch. I never write reviews about anything but I can't go on enough about getting my pictures back - Wow. I had to stop it at 107 photos. It was an 8gb SDHC card and once I got the pictures that I havent saved elsewhere, I stopped it. It said pay here and save pictures - I quickly fumbled for my money. Sandisk wanted $59 for their recovery product. Frankly, between us girls, I think they got a 'scam' going. They will low-ball you on the price of their SDHC card, then zapp you with recovery fees to get your pictures off their product. If their product is so good, why do they have to charge you for help when it goes bad (unless they are all designed to go bad - $59 is a great review stream) -- Oh, well enough about something that doesnt work and more about a product that does. $19.99 well spent - period!
Cons
This is not a con but a surprise. I had taken a .MOV with my Canon and the recovery took the frames and turned them into very small pictures that were grainy when enlarged. No problem. Atlest I got my 'pictures' back
Summary
$20 well invested. I hope I never have to use it again. But if I do, I have it on my computer ready to fix my next Sandisk problem. Signed JEO

"Precious Photos Recovered!"
Version: Adroit Photo Recovery 2012 2.8a
Pros
Fast and easy
Cons
NOTE: as stated in the instructions, Adroit will not always locate your camera or cards plugged into slots on your computer. I purchased a $10 Kingston card reader from Amazon, plugged in my SD card and in minutes the images were recovered.
Summary
Recovery made fast and easy . . . Adroit was a blessing from above, recovering precious photos of my 84 year old father at his favorite Irish pub.

"Best Program I Tried"
Version: Adroit Photo Recovery 2012 2.8a
Pros
I am not very computer savvy so the VERY helpful and speedy response from customer service was greatly appreciated. I tried 4 other (free) programs, but they did not recovery nearly as many of my pictures..this program was definitely worth the $20.
Cons
I have no complaints with this program

"Great Product - Lousy Customer Service"
Version: Adroit Photo Recovery 2012 2.8a
Pros
Product does exactly what it says it'll do. Great software.
Cons
Lousy customer service. Had to reinstall Windows and have tried for literally four months to get someone to help me recover my access key. Never any response from the company at all.
Summary
My advice: Buy the software. Don't lose the access key, or you'll be buying it all over again.

"Kudos for smart software"
Version: Adroit Photo Recovery 2012 2.8a
Pros
Did exactly what it said it would. Straightforward user interface.
Cons
None noticeable
Summary
Well, this software just saved me a world of trouble, so I thought I would give credit where it's due. I was reviewing a 4GB SD card full of photos and I don't know what happened, maybe I nudged the card reader the wrong way or something, but suddenly the card was full of unreadable files with filenames full of random characters and weird dates like 1991 (wow, I wish I'd had a camera like the one I have now in 1991 :) ).. anyway I downloaded this, let it scan the card (which takes a fair amount of time- I just let it get on with it while I did something else), and it recovered over 600 pictures from the card (mostly fully-recovered, a small number partially recovered). OK so it holds you to ransom a little by not letting you save the pictures until you register, but that was a small price to pay (literally and metaphorically). It looks like that was the whole set of pictures, so I'm not going to bother comparing the results with any other similar tool. Neat bit of software and I'm happy to recommend it.
