PC users often upgrade their hardware to get the most out of new games. Many Mac users, on the other hand, view Photoshop as the litmus test for hardware performance. While technically an image editor, this program contains an endless selection of drawing tools, filters, color adjustment capabilities, and other tools designed to manipulate images in almost any way. Photoshop incorporates raster and vector drawing tools, allowing you to work with bitmap images and scalable graphics at the same time.
Though it's an excellent software tool, the trial version demands a lot of time to download, a lot of hard drive space, and a lot of RAM for rendering and other heavy tasks. In addition, the trial version is save-, print-, and export-disabled, which limits your ability to assess this expensive product. Photoshop also has a high learning curve, so great results take time and training.

Version: Adobe Photoshop CS2
"Photoshop, the best picture editing software in the world!!!"
Pros: It didn't take me long to get started on photoshop, after using similar free apps, photoshop has many more tools than the free ones. Also it has support of my graphics tablet which makes it even easier to draw, write and paint (without getting dirty hands of course!)
Cons: Only a couple of minor problems is that it is hard for newbies of image editing software and it can be a little slow to load!

Version: Adobe Photoshop CS2
Pros: Adobe has always brought out excellent programs when it comes down to digital editing. Whenever a new one comes out I simply love to try it.
Cons: Wish it could be a bit simpler, especially for people new to the Adobe Photoshop suite. It can be overwhelming where to start and what to do.

Version: Adobe Photoshop CS2
Pros: Adobe's image editing programs have always had useful effects, and Photoshop is one of the best you can find. It's great for making all sorts of images, from webpage layouts to link buttons, avatars, and even coloring a scanned image. They have so many effects and with the many ways you can use them, it's so easy to make something that's entirely different from what you might see online.
Cons: If you have several layers or the PSD file gets large, Photoshop starts to slow down a tad. But my biggest pet peeve with Photoshop is that it's extremely difficult for brand new users to figure out. I was trying to make layouts for my website, but they ended up looking just the same as before I had Photoshop because I didn't know any of the fancy stuff you could do with it. The only way you can really make good use is if you look up tutorials, and after that, you have to figure out how you can meld the effects together to come out with something unique and not so plain.
