With an impressive collection of flexible tools, Adobe Photoshop Elements is one of the most powerful consumer-level photo editors around. Batch processing, image layering, cloning, and Web optimization are just a few of the software's timesaving tools. Though Photoshop veterans will feel right at home, the software's busy array of palettes and pull-down menus may be a bit overwhelming to newcomers. Thankfully, a well-organized group of tutorials and contextual help tools do a great job of demystifying the software's labyrinthine interface. Advanced users will appreciate its color management and support for EXIF data. If you're looking for a basic tool for common graphic tasks such as red-eye reduction and image resizing, there are plenty of lower-priced options that are much easier to master. However, if you need a tool that will deliver a significant boost in creativity as well as in productivity, Photoshop Elements is definitely worth a look.Publisher's description

Flexible image-capturing options let you work with photos taken with digital or traditional cameras, and versatile delivery features enable you to prepare images for print, e-mail, or posting on the Web.
Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 software combines power and simplicity to help you do it all. Edit and enhance your photos by fixing common flaws instantly or using advanced options for more control. Keep every photo at your fingertips. And show off your creativity in entertaining slide shows, photo mail, Web galleries, and countless other ways.

Version: Adobe Photoshop Elements 4
"Nice junior version of Photoshop..."
Pros: If you know Photoshop you will appreciate this software. It is much easier and more compact than Photoshop. Many of the features are the same and this program allows you to get the job done much faster.
Cons: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, there is a slight learning curve on how to use the features and the terminology.

Version: Adobe Photoshop Elements 4
Pros: Lucky me, I got this software free with my purchase of my ATI video card. A few features are a bit too complex for my own good. A few features that I like are: the ability to fix digital images, organize your digital pictures, and to create printable cards. There are other features, but I have to consult the manual...
Cons: The installation took up a lot of space.

"Much easier to use than the full photoshop"
Pros: A simplified version of photoshop, but it still has all the necessary components for editing photos. As long as you take your time to find out how to use the program, it'll serve you well for a very long time
Cons: The sheer number tools to play around with make it dificult for a novice to become experienced.

Version: Adobe Photoshop Elements 4
"Great Program, be sure to extract all files to new folder prior to install."
Pros: No doubt about it, Photoshop Elements is supposed to be the best (for its price) on the market.
Cons: Be sure to EXTRACT ALL THE FILES FIRST before attempting install. Just clicking setup within compressed folder will not generate required serial number during setup. And that serial number is required for installation.
