CNET Editors' review
There should be no doubt that Apple's decision to block Flash from iOS in favor of HTML5 has spurred Adobe to make sure that its media-rich content-building tool and player Flash remains competitive. Flash Player 11 brings hardware-accelerated graphics support to the platform.
According to Adobe, the new Stage3D technology in the new Flash Player brings combined 2D and 3D acceleration that is up to 1,000 times faster than the previous Flash iterations. While currently Stage3D is supported only for personal computers, it should make its way to mobile devices in future Flash releases. The advancements offered by Stage3D should bring far more complex graphics development for the player, and allow some developers to use it as a viable alternative for their projects, especially for cross-platform efforts.
In addition to accelerated graphics, Flash 11 now is natively in 64-bit code on all supported platforms, which will allow it to better integrate with browsers and plug-ins that are coded in 64-bit. This along with a slew of new enhancements for developers in terms of security improvements, media handling, and better JavaScript integration will enhance the player's use for future development. Flash also comes baked into Google Chrome, and therefore the Chrome OS that powers Google's Chromebooks.
Mac users take note: Flash requires OS X 10.6 or later running on an Intel platform since Adobe removed support for PowerPC Macs in Flash 10.
Although it's possible that HTML5 will at some point unseat Flash as the dominant code for media on the Web, that won't happen for a while yet since HTML5 standards haven't even been finalized. The Flash Player is a must if you want to experience the Web at its fullest, so users at any level of expertise should have no qualms about installing or upgrading.

"Don't download this crap!"
Version: Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.257
Pros
Absolutely nothing.
Cons
Upgraded to the new version and can't play any YouTube videos. Uninstalled it and tried to download the old version, but stupid Adobe didn't let me. No clue how they can come out with a player like this.
Summary
Don't waste your time and download this junk. I opened an account just to review this Adobe garbage. I wish I could give minus points.

"Adobe is DEAD"
Version: Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.257
Pros
Nice and elegant download method. Adobe makes it easy to get and install this player. This is , how Software Downloads should work.
Cons
Totally Worthless. Another Crash Player from Adobe to waste your Valuable time, Resources, Bandwidth, and patience. Adobe has fired all of their good Developers, and only has the Deadwood and Old Guys with Seniority there, that can't code. These Circle-Jerks only know how to attend Meetings and have no clue how to write Software. This crap not only Hangs your System with 100% CPU Heating Up, but It hangs until you frantically try to stop the Machine from going BSOD Blue Screen Of Death. The Flash Player PlugIn behaves in every Browser differently and crashes differently, in Chrome, in Firefox, and in Internet Explorer, it looks different, when it crashes, but it goes down every time. And takes your System with it. It sits there and cooks at 100% CPU utilization, trying to get a connection, a socket, or whatever it wants to do, but the Error Reporting back to the USer is so Bad, that they won't tell you, WHY it crashed, It just Grinds and Crashes. Total Junk, Once again, From Adobe...
Summary
This Wave of Disastrous Flash Player releases on Humanity should be classified by the Authorities as a Virus, released by Adobe to harm productivity and commerce. This is irresponsible. This little Software package has all of the traits and behavior, as a Virus would have to cause havoc and hinder productivity. All it does, is kill machines, heat up CPU's and grinds people's time. To me, It's a Bug and it needs to be isolated. Antivirus Companies should classify this Crap as Malware, since it does no good and only bothers people.

"Created an account just so I could review this crap"
Version: Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.257
Pros
Works after I disabled the protected mode.
Cons
Had to disable protected mode to get videos to work, just a blank white screen on most videos otherwise. Youtube videos just say "an error occurred, please try again." DUMB.
Summary
I ain't part of Adobe's system, I'm an adult!
(I didn't throw it on the ground though...)
But for realz Adobe, don't release stuff that hasn't been fully tested. I've seen people from Adobe saying "disable your RealPlayer download thingy to get it to work." Um, no. I want them both to work at the same time, just like they did before.
p.s. to disable protected mode, go into c:\windows\system32\macromed\flash and open up mms.cfg in notepad and add the line ProtectedMode=0, save it, and restart firefox. That worked for me. You may have to move the file over to documents or something to get it to save, and then move it back to the flash folder when you're done. To enable protected mode again, just remove the line. -

"Don't download it!"
Version: Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.257
Pros
None whatsoever!
Cons
It doesn't work in Firefox 13 AT ALL. Not only did I lose the ability to utilize Facebook, but I couldn't play any flash based games anymore.
Summary
I ended up having to do a full system recovery after installing this upgrade. What a headache!
-

"Released without proper testing..."
Version: Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.257
Pros
Once you disable "protected mode"(crash mode), it works... The updated features don't really benefit us yet.. so nothing..
To fix: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4468493
Just disable protected mode and it's fine.Cons
CRASHES, SLOW DOWNS...
I was using 11.3 in the beta which only had two betas with millions of people claiming protected mode doesn't work, yet they decided to release after only 2 betas whereas other versions normally have 3-5 and a RC...Summary
Adobe are idiots for releasing this version without proper testing.
