"Still glacial in rendering flash content."

Pros
It works but Activity Monitor still shows a huge footprint, even when idling.
Cons
Hog. Jobs is right; Adobe (uncharacteristically) has not made this app as svelte as it has to be. I have a fast machine; on a pico computer (iPhone, etc.) there is simply no excuse for an 800 lb troll lurking to do the work of a helper app.
Summary
Learn you lessons, Adobe. After years of on-again, off-again petulance about developing for the Mac platform, Apple introduced Aperture and Final Cut Pro. How long before they introduce a fly-weight plug-in to emulate Flash in QT? I hope that Jobs keeps up the pressure. Adobe is simply too good a company for cynically bloated software.

Almost none.
Cons
Most of what Flash is used for can be done with JavaScript/HTML5/CSS3.
Too slow, slows down the whole system.
Does not use Core APIs for hardware acceleration.

Flash has always been a strange beast. It can't decide if it wants to be an animation tool or a runtime environment. Consequently, it does neither to it's full potential. What Flash does do is strangle my computer's CPU and crash my web browsers. While I have to have it for certain sites and applications, I block it most of the time in web browsers with the wonderful ClickToFlash plug-in. I use it to suppress Flash until I need it.

It's so fickle that the same browser won't play the same Flash animation twice. Now it's creating an army of tabs, like the Sorcerer's Apprentice only digital. I can't get rid of them without closing the browser.
Summary
I take it that Flash makes web design more efficient, which explains its popularity in the piecework world of web development. For the users, it's a real loss. On this, Steve Jobs is right: Flash exists is in its own world. In a parallel universe. We don't need it.

Cons
Since downloading update for this product, am unable to utilize online game chat in normal matter, the chat force defaults to oldest post, rather than newest. Scroll bar must be manually moved each time any player posts any comment.
