From Wladimir Palant :Install Adblock Plus now and get rid of all those ads and banners. Right-click on a banner and choose Adblock from the context menu - the banner won't be downloaded again. Or click Adblock Plus icon in the toolbar to see all elements of the page and block the banners. You can use filters with wildcards or even regular expressions to block complete banner factories.
Version 0.7.5.3 is a bug-fixing release.

"One of the best add-ons i've ever used"
Pros: If you hate adverts, especially ones that flash and say things like "You're the 1,000,000,000 visitor and you've won...." or those annoying "shoot the alien and win an ipod" adverts, then this program is all you need. It helps make browsing so much faster and easier, by blocking them from their site of origin. The add-on also provides flexibility, in that it allows you to specify your own list of advert sites to block, and add to it, if the advert makers work round this problem in the future. A definite must have for all firefox users

Version: Adblock Plus 0.7.5.3
Cons: It works in Firefox but when I install it on IE it doesn't do anything. I've tried it several times and have to uninstall it each time. Don't know what the problem is.

Pros: I love this!
It blocks all those stupid ads (Hey you just won 432895203458792834524879$!) and stuff like that

Pros: Blocks ads! My internet connection sucks, and on a lot of sites that make their money by ads, it can take forever to load pages. This changes that all. It's like having the premium "Ad-Free" membership of some sites :)
Cons: No real interface, but it doesn't matter for the most part because almost all ads are blocked right out of the box.
