CNET Editors' review
This program blocks the pop-up windows that mar your Web surfing. When you start Ad Arrest IE Popup Killer, it opens the configuration window. Among its advanced options are basics such as selecting whether to play a sound when the program blocks a pop-up and setting the software to launch on start-up. The Usage Info button leads to a quick demo of such features as the standard use of the Ctrl key to accept a pop-up once and the less common ability to add a site to the whitelist by pressing the Shift key. Frequent nag screens ask you to register the software. Otherwise, Ad Arrest IE Popup Killer worked perfectly in our testing, blocking all pop-ups. It had no difficulty blocking non-English pop-up windows, killing them right away. In general, the program is small, efficient, and helpful.Publisher's Description
From GameFools:
Ad Arrest Popup Killer uses an advanced, 2-filter system to block pop-up advertising from Internet Explorer, Kazaa, Morpheus, AOL, Gator, and chat programs such as ICQ, AIM, Trillian, MSN, and Yahoo Messenger. It will also prohibit spam ads initiated through your browser by spyware, adware, and virus programs. The software requires minimal resources, and it will not conflict with personal firewall programs like ZoneAlarm or anti-spyware programs like Ad-Aware. Ad Arrest offers a simple hotkey system for managing your whitelist, so you can tailor the software to your specific browsing needs.

"Would not recommend this product"
Version: Ad Arrest IE Popup Killer 2.1
Pros
Can't think of any
Cons
Does not effectively block out ads at all. Can't remember one website that was ad-free.
-
"WASTE OF SPACE"
Version: Ad Arrest IE Popup Killer 2.1
Pros
No pros at all this programme sucks!
Cons
It hardly blocked a pop up, not worth the download.
Summary
Not worth the download, much better ones out there.Dont waste your time!

"No more pop-up ads! But how do I uninstall?"
Version: Ad Arrest IE Popup Killer 2.1
Pros
Works as advcertised!
Cons
Some sites I visit regularly cannot be accessed through highlighted click-on phrases because Ad Arrest doesn't recognize them as acceptable. When I try to uninstall the program it doesn't allow the uninstall; continuously activating itself.
Summary
Not recommended. Resisting uninstallation is too much power for a program to have.
Don't use it unless you know how to uninstall it. I don't!

"Sucks, waste of time."
Version: Ad Arrest IE Popup Killer 2.1
Cons
This program blocked not one of the pop-ups in IE. It only blocks them after they've come up, and even then they just come back! Also, when I uninstalled it, twice, it didn't go away. This program is a huge waste of time and just makes the computer slower.

"Not reccomended"
Version: Ad Arrest IE Popup Killer 2.1
Pros
it is a small file.
Cons
Blocked intentional popups (even blocked internet explorer from starting when i clicked it on the desktop), doesnt stop floating advertisments, I uninstalled it however its not gone. It still starts up when i start my computer and operates like normal. It also looks unimpressive.

"Too bad"
Version: Ad Arrest IE Popup Killer 2.1
Pros
It blocks some popups
Cons
I cannot recommen it to anyone because: 1) Popups keep flashing before my face before they are blocked which makes my computer very slow and wastes my time for nothing 2) It cannot separate good popups (when I explicitly click a link, for example) from bad popups that open themselves without my permission 3) If I enable temporarily the good popup that is blocked (see above), Ad Arrest never memorizes my choice and next time I click this link, it is blocked again. Besides, "recently arrested popups" list is always empty so I cannot enable it from there either

"This program sucks!"
Version: Ad Arrest IE Popup Killer 2.1
Pros
Let's you try it out before buying it, thank God as it would of been a waste of money.
Cons
Seems to work good the 1st time then is absolutely worthless after that with the same popups coming back up. Doesn't allow you to enter generic domains that you want to stop coming up. I'm deinstalling it off of my computer. A complete waste. Glad I did't pay for it.
